If I were you and looking into Thinkware, I'd recommend you going for the Q1000 as it's the upgraded version of the Q800PRO. In our opinion, GPS is really important as you want location, time, speed and date data in your dash cam footage, something that insurance companies always want to see when they're verifying your footage.

I have a Thinkware Q800 Pro. I bought the front camera from Best Buy and it seemed to be defective because the video quality wasn't what I was expecting. I couldn't really read license plates of cars that were directly in front of me. I uploaded a video sample for their support team and they confirmed that the quality wasn't up to par.
