However, it also is going to provide much more distance, especially in the long game, yet it's going to maintain greenside control. And when getting to hit this ball for the first time, I saw exactly those three things. First of all, I hit some wedge shots with this golf ball using a 56 degree Vokey wedge, and I got to tell you, I was honestly surprised in the spin rates coming from a golf ball in this category

 It provides better distance and that soft feel. Next, the reformulated 2.0 Truflex cover delivers improved feel and excellent greenside control, and the spherically tiled 376 tetrahedral dimple design provides penetrating ball flight for increased distance. The new Trufield golf balls are available in white, high optic yellow, and matte red, and are available with play numbers one through four

 Swinging the 9 degree TSI 3 driver at 103 miles an hour, on average I was getting a ball speed of 144, again a slightly higher launch at 16 degrees, but a very low spin rate of only 1700 rpms. With the high launch, I was getting a maximum height of 96 feet maximum trajectory, and with the low spin, I was getting a super shallow descent angle of only 36 degrees. That was giving me on average a carry distance of 259, but again with the ball coming in that shallow, I'm going to make up tons of distance on the back end with roll. Medium swing speed. I don’t think Pro V1 is what I need. I’ve used Titleist TruFeel as I’ve been getting better the last year and I feel that I need a little more ball.

After many rounds and no noticeable improvement in my on-course performance, I have settled on the Titelist TruFeel as "my ball" going forward. They get going pretty damn well off the tee, maybe not as much as the Titleist Velocity or Bridgestone e6, but I find these much easier to pop up and sit on the green with wedges and irons. They certainly don't match the performance of $4-$5 ball like the ProV1 or TP5, but because I am terrible, it makes no sense spending $48 to $52 a dozen for tour balls. Hitting those expensive balls fat or thin off the tee directly into the water was just adding stress to my already anxiety-filled rounds

For the other "cheap" balls I tried, like the Velocity, Srixon Soft Feel, Callaway Superhot, and Bridgestone e6/e12, none of them seemed to match the "feel" of the Titelist TruFee off the tee and around the green. The Soft Feel's probably came the closest. But I like the alignment aid on these balls for putting, and again, they seem to perform better around the green than all the other non-Tour balls I went through this summer.

Finally landed on a ball the right mix of value and performance

 Higher swing speeds players will struggle with the true feel ballooning a little, especially if you really went after it off the tee and up the club head speed further. Hitting 100 yard shots with a brand new 50 degree tailor made MG2 wedge, I actually managed to generate more spin than with the true feel than I did with the Pro V1. This to be fair from 100 yards with a club head speed of around 80 miles per hour is to be expected. It's in the shorter pitches and chips around the green where players who play a lot of spin in mind will miss it using the true feel

 At an extremely competitive price point however, I'm impressed with the Titleist True Feel. Although the alignment aid may not be for everyone, it clearly is a popular choice amongst Titleist loyalists. I believe this will be a great ball for a lot of golfers throughout the winter months. People looking for a slightly cheaper, more durable ball offering slightly more distance on iron shots whilst still generating a decent amount of spin at a cheaper price

 Titleist True Feel Golf Ball Verdict A lot of golfers will see benefits from using the true feel ball. Unfortunately, I am looking for a softer feeling cover for usage around the greens and a ball that doesn't fly as high. At an extremely competitive price point however, I'm impressed with the Titleist True Feel. Although the alignment aid may not be for everyone, it clearly is a popular choice amongst Titleist loyalists

Titleist TruFeel because it might be the best performing ball at $1 a piece (I get mint5A balls from lostgolfballs). They feel great to me and I still lose about 1-4 balls per round so the price is right.

What ball do you use and why?

While these aren't the best balls I have ever used (that would be the Bridgestone Tour B line), they still perform incredibly well for the price, and I like to always have a sleeve on hand.

The best "Value" ball I have found

 In terms of short game spin, Titleist say, well the box says with this Trufeel Golf Ball it should deliver excellent green side control. We know it's not a urethane covered golf ball, so it's unlikely to spin as much as the Titleist Pro V1X Golf Ball that I currently play. But in this video, we're going to be putting this to the test out on the golf course on the launch monitor. I've been testing it up against my Titleist Pro V1X Golf Ball in an attempt to decide how it compares to that kind of next level golf ball, premium golf ball that Pro V1X is over double the price of this Trufeel Golf Ball, but are you getting double the performance? Let's find out

 The ball speed is around about where I usually am, the spin is 6,000, I was expecting it to be a bit lower than that, so that's pretty good. Around where I normally am with a seven iron, an average carry of 165, again distance wise, very comparable with what I currently play, which is surprisingly impressive for me. And then moving onto the driver, where I would say arguably, in terms of the launch run of the data, this is where the greatest difference between Trufeel and what I currently play is found, ball speed is down at 151 with the Trufeel, normally I'm around about 154 with the driver. And then look at the spin number is averaging 2,500, that's okay, it's a little bit high, but it's not dramatically high

 The RRP on this golf ball is £23, but hopefully you'll be able to buy it in your local pro shop for £20. It replaces the DT Trusoft, which we know was a very, very soft feeling, low compression golf ball. But what Titleist have done with this golf ball is they've changed the core formulation, so they've included more of the faster materials that generate the ball speed off the tee, while helping keep spin nice and low as well. So you should get a nice combination of low spin, added ball speed to give you more distance

 You know, for some people it's too much and this is the price point level where a lot of golfers are sitting here. That's what they're comfortable paying for their golf balls. Is that where you're at or are you happy to pay a bit more for a little bit more distance, a little bit more short game control? I'd love to hear from you, but from a very windy Birdie Park Golf Club, it's goodbye.

I was playing erc soft triple tracks for the last 5 rounds but just saw the price went up $10 at golf galaxy so I’m in the market for a new ball (I lose 1-2 balls on average a round). Opinions?

I know ProV1 is arguably the best ball out there, but can't justify $50 a dozen yet. I do want to have good feel around the green but not sacrifice any distance. Any suggestions?
