 Thankfully there was tons of online content to help get my watch synced with my computers. One great online feature is the ability to link your MapMyRun account to transfer all of your workouts to your new TomTom MySports account. Transferring your workouts is all done through a program on your computer and is a very quick and seamless process. Simply link your MySports account to the program, sync your watch, and all of your workouts will be uploaded directly to your account where you can view them

 A great feature in this watch is the ability to connect to the MySports mobile app over bluetooth to actually sync your runs straight from your phone. The app is still under development and will only work with certain phones, so I wasn't able to test the feature, but if you're interested in using it, be sure to check the app details to ensure that your phone is supported. The features that I enjoyed the most using this watch were the quick GPS fix technology, heart rate training zones, and the custom interval training. The quick GPS fix technology allows the runner cardio to quickly locate satellites

 The TomTom Runner Cardio is a very user-friendly and feature-rich watch. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for their first GPS watch, or anyone looking for a simple GPS watch to take their running to the next level.  And you'll notice here that our heart rate icon is flashing. So now if we were to start our activity, we can hit on go, and we'll see our heart rate appear.

 Here we will select heart. We can also select pace zones also, but here we're going to do heart rate. Here we simply select the heart rate that we want to be within, and we just adjust the plus minus value. Once you're done, you'll see zone training, and once your GPS has a fix, you're ready to go

 So we'll tap on the right button here and we'll start a run. As it gets the satellite and searches for your heart rate monitor, we'll tap down for the settings, switch over to the training options, and we'll select zones. Here we will select heart. We can also select pace zones also, but here we're going to do heart rate

 Highly recommended. I take 1 star off because when I received the TomTom HRM from the seller, the sensor was already installed on the strap and the battery was only at 50% (Runtastic app showed the heart rate and battery level after connected.)

 I use it with Moto G4 Android Runtastic and Wahoo apps and they found and connected to the sensor immediately. Just remember to remove the sensor from the strap when done using it so the battery won't drain. Highly recommended.  And also it gives you the opportunity to set laps either in kilometres or miles. So most GPS products out of the box will click over to one kilometre or one mile. It gives you the opportunity to be able to set either those statistics or other statistics or also to do manual lapping as well. I'm pretty sure it actually also communicates with via Bluetooth or wirelessly through the software but if not you've got the USB leads plugged in to be able to communicate the software

 So battery, storage, what version of GPS you're using. Again, the most recent products, this is actually a slightly older unit actually, the most recent products will have a newer version which gives you the quick GPS start which is much quicker than just sitting and waiting for the satellites. If you go again to the right, you can use it indoors on a treadmill. I think it uses an accelerometer

 So obviously you can't pick up GPS signal indoors, but it enables you to use an accelerometer to get the same type of statistics that you would want to be able to find. And there's also a basic stopwatch underneath that as well. If we go back to the home page and then scroll down, there's a number of different things here. You can set the clock, you set the heart rate sensors, you compare it with your phone, gives you some options and also you set up a profile

 TomTom released the product I think about a year ago, this is the newer update of that product. The first product didn't come with heart rate so the big thing about this product is that it comes with no heart rate band so you don't have to wear a heart rate monitor band in order to be able to get the heart rate. I'm trying to demonstrate here, what you do is you put the watch about half an inch away or fingers width away from your wrist bone and these sensors on the back which you can see there, those sensors on the back enable you to pick up your heart rate through those sensors. So as a runner, running with a chest band can be quite awkward or quite restricting

Good HR monitor for the price, annoying strap

The unit works fine and I would love to utilize it for heart rate data but the strap cuts me, not rubs or even creates a blister, it cuts through my skin and I bleed. I've used it as loose as I can without it falling off and the same result as when it's on tighter. I never had any issues with my previous heart rate monitor strap but this one is only getting 1 more shot. If it doesn't clear up, I'll never use it again

Works but cuts me like a knife

 It has been as comfortable as one can expect from a chest strap. I like that the chest HR monitor has its own replaceable battery so it doesn't tax the watch battery. Just be sure to dab the contacts with a bit of water before use and you should be good to go.

I got this HR monitor for my TomTom Runner watch and it works well. I have not encountered any of the problems that others are reporting with the strap. It has been as comfortable as one can expect from a chest strap. I like that the chest HR monitor has its own replaceable battery so it doesn't tax the watch battery
