It's hard to beat the price of the Trango Junior. Not only is it the cheapest full-body option in our group, but it also offers a lot of security and comfort for young climbers. This basic harness has fully adjustable shoulder straps and leg loops that allow it to fit kids of all sizes from 25 lbs up to 8o lbs. Once the harness is set up, kids can easily slip in and out, and the buckles offer quite a bit of adjustment range to accommodate growing climbers or a wide range of kids.
The Junior is the only harness in our test that still uses the old "double back" style non-sliding buckles. With 20+ years of sliding buckle use behind us, the Junior shows how dated it is. While the design is old-school, the function is great, and comfort is pretty decent. We would recommend this harness to the casual climber not looking for the highest-end gear, but rather one looking for a basic functional harness. This wouldn't be our go-to choice for older kids, but for new young climbers, a camp fleet, or gym rentals, this harness would work really well and for a great price.

 We knew our kids were going to be hanging in the harness. They were just learning and you really don't want a thin, strap cutting into the back of your legs as you're hanging in your harness trying to figure out what to do and so finding an adjustable leg. Strap that also was a padded leg. Strap was important to us and at the time that we made this purchase, this was the only harness we could find that had adjustable legs and padded legs

 I am small, our kids are small. They are also premature, which makes them even small for all of the small genetics that they have going for them in the first place, so we needed a harness that could really shrink down and at the time this is the only harness we could find. That was safety rated down to kids at 25 pounds, and that has a lot to do with the fact that you have fully adjustable legs, and so we are looking for a harness that has fully adjustable legs and that usually leads you to these webbing type.  That problem has gone away and they really descend quite easily in this harness, even with the higher attachment point. So when my wife and i were originally looking for climbing harnesses for the boys, we're primarily interested in three features, although we're going to talk about more than three features today, the three we were looking for at the time was: first, how small can we make the Harness my wife is small.  But just a quickly the fall is halted by his NEW Trango Junior Harness.  He tells me he is comfortable in it but when I try to get my 200 lbs frame into it, not so much.  Carbiners slip into the front easy and the kids can get into it themselves and buckle up.  My one complaint of it is the lack of adjustability of one of the leg straps

I bought this for my almost two-year-old. I couldn't find anything else that seemed small enough. This fits! We've only used it a couple times so far so we will see how it holds up. It's a little hard to adjust, especially on a wiggling toddler

Very adjustable

This harness was excellent in quality and comfort. However, we never used it as an actual harness. We tried it on and examined it and were pleased, but decided we did not need it for our intended purpose, so we sent it back.

So far it seems strong and durable plus I love that it is adjustable

 I like that this has a way to secure all of the extra strap since we have it as small as it will go right now and there is a ton of extra. This harness seemed the most well made and looked the most comfortable of all that I looked at when researching a good harness for a small child. This one was also the one that adjusted the smallest which was a plus for us as it meant getting her started sooner.

This harness is very well made from what I can tell, we bought it recently for our 1 year old daughter. We have had her swinging from a rope in our house with it and she thought that was a blast. We hooked her up to a rock wall just to test it out, it lasted a whopping minute before she got upset but the harness worked great. And I love that it is adjustable because she will fit in it for a long while
