I love this thermometer. I have 4 young kids (my oldest is 6) and this is the thermometer I go back to time and again. I've tried a number of thermometers in my 6+ years of parenting and none of them are perfect - including this one. But this is the only one I've been able to figure out how to get an accurate temperature with without waiting an eon

 I typically take the temp twice in a row and after that I get a fairly consistent temperature (I don't even bother taking the temp a 3rd time anymore). With other thermometers the readings were all over the place (especially the expensive ear thermometer I invested in!). I literally have 6 different thermometers in my house (even after chucking the useless ear thermometer) and this is the only one I'll use. The battery *does* die occasionally, but that's happened with other thermometers I have that I've hardly even used! Changing the battery isn't a huge deal except for the fact that I don't like keeping button batteries in the house with such young children, and the battery that this thermometer takes isn't common - I have to order it online

 The CR2032 is extremely common and being 3V, I assume would have worked, making everyone's lives easier. Let's standardize, people.

Extremely poor choice of battery

Weak battery

I purchased one and it didn’t work at all so I returned it. I decided to try a second one and it was great for a short period of time and now the battery is dead. The price is great but if you have to keep replacing batteries every couple weeks it’s not worth it.

Battery is horrible

This item works fine, however the battery runs out quickly and it isn't easy to find a replacement, particularly at Target. We've purchased two of these thermometers and both times the battery ran out after a few months :(
