 So we're going to start this machine again just waking it up, pressing start and we'll shred our carrots. We'll put them through the small food hole and using our small food pusher simply put them right through. You can see the Vitamix food processor makes easy work of those carrots. No more using a regular box grater, no more worrying about those knuckles

 This blade allows you to knead, chop, mince, grind or in this case chop down these almonds into a nice fine almond butter. I've got about four cups of a roasted lightly salted almond in there and I'm going to set the timer on my A3500 series to about two and a half minutes. The max run time that we have on this food processor is two and a half minutes and any recipe that we have should be able to be done in that time. The convenient factor about this is I can set the timer on this and let the machine do the work for me

 So there's actually five blades in total that do different jobs. You've got a large shred and a thick slice and you've got a small shred and a thin slice. We're going to set this up for large shred using our safety finger holes that we can load the blade in or by grabbing it from the centralized hub and setting it down in place. From there we're ready to shred

 Again, two minutes and 30 seconds is all it took. All I had to do was load those ingredients in the container and press start. I'll take our safety interlock lid off, set it to the side, remove our multi-use blade and now my almond butter is ready to be able to spoon into a bowl to be shared for an after school snack, an afternoon treat or what not.  Then we tried making dough in this, it knocked it out of park in 20-30 seconds probably. I was super impressed but the sound of it bothered me a bit too much. Vitamix isn’t a quiet blender but the sound it makes has a flat pitch and is bearable, whereas this attachment produces much louder sound. I measured the sound using my phone with just water in the container, regular blender makes about ~88-90dB whereas the food processor attachment nearly hits ~100dB

 The S-blade allows you to chop and mix without pulverizing or blending. The S-blade is also great for pulsing chickpeas and herbs for falafel, lentils and vegetables for veggie burgers, or nuts and seeds for bread. Again, in all these recipes, you want to retain some of the texture and not blend everything. All these mixtures are also thick and sticky and would not work well in the Vitamix blender

The blade is super SHARP, my boyfriend cut his finger deep when he was trying to clean it and the blade accidentally slide off and fell to his finger. Just by that, his was cut about 0.5cm deep.  The product is powerful itself, just need to use it with caution

 So, I'm going to show you how that works. You remove the lid, and in order to store it, you want to make sure the multi-use blade is attached to the gear stem in the container. It comes with a disc case, so you take the other discs, or you take the discs, and you put them in the disc case, and then you close the lid. Then you flip it over, and the container lid snaps right in to here, like so

 The Vitamix food processor comes with three different blades. So, it comes with your normal standard S blade that fits in this way. Then, one of the cool things that I love about this is that each blade actually serves two different functions. That's awesome, because again, with your standard food processors, they come with, I don't know, four, five, six different blades, and then you have to figure out a way to store them

I usually use a 14-cup food processor in my kitchen and so when I saw that this thing had a 12-cup capacity, I was thrilled. Okay, so let's just start by looking at the attachment as it is. You need all 5 of these things lined up and snapped in place to work. (It’s easy to not have everything completely in place). While I’m fine with it, I can’t just hand this to someone and have them use it - like all vitamix products I need to give them a tutorial
