Vizio MQ7-J Series

The picture is absolutely stunning. I have a Roku Ultra connected to it and it works flawlessly. I’ve had this TV for a little over 2 weeks and I love it more each day. I originally purchased a TCL R635 with some horrible dirty screen effect, so I exchanged it for this.

1Color Calibration > Color Tuner (no changes; all "0")HDR Notes: None of the Vizio M65Q7-J01's HDR modes were particularly accurate, but Calibrated Dark was the best. Even so, it didn't follow the EOTF as closely as most TVs I've reviewed, and grayscale was relatively blue, particularly at the brighter end -- issues that also contributed to its less-than-stellar color measurements.

Reached out to vizio customer support, and after a chat for a few minutes they managed to install a firmware patch for me and it hasn’t happened since which has been nice! Overall, happy with the TV for the budget choice.

 Its viewing angles are worse than other similar TVs, so it's really not suggested for a wide seating arrangement.

On both the sound pops and crackles and cuts out entirely as some sort of noise-gating - wish I had read more reviews before I bought it and saved myself the time because it looks like a longstanding issue that vizio refuses to care enough about to patch, essentially the tv intentially cuts out ambient noise in scenes so you lose lots of atmospheric sound. There are workarounds with soundbars but for that much money I don't want to need a workaround. Don't know much about the rest, but avoid the M-Series at all costs.

Went to rtings.com and then Best Buy to compare the bottom of their top pack (aka budget picks) with my own eyes. Choosing between Vizio M-series, some TCL and one other TV I really couldn’t tell the difference in store between those. Went with Vizio because I didn’t care for framerate on a living room TV and the other TV OS was reportedly laggy.

Cant get anybody to come and pick up a huge TV no matter how great of a deal I offer. I've tried to get rid of my Vizio M-Series Quantum for $300 and nothing.
