I promise you won’t ever think OLED isn’t “bright” enough. I originally bought the P Series quantum that boasted upwards to 2000 nits which was absolutely overkill. I ended up returning it after being unsatisfied with the blooming. I actually had my B8 and Vizio side by side and while it did look “brighter” the image quality was clear - OLED reigns king. Perfect black allow for some insane contrast and you won’t ever regret your purchase I promise! (:

Just upgraded from a Vizio P 2016 to LG CX. The LG CX is blindly bright in HDR and DV, to the point where my family gets upset that it’s *too* bright. Won’t be a concern. OLED looks significantly better than my old Vizio

I was worried too, I went from a Vizio LCD to LG CX. Brightness is good, I rarely had my Vizio at max brightness as it got washed out and I have the CX set to 80 or 90% usually and it's still brighter. I have a very bright room with sliding glass door and three skylights.

I went from a super bright Samsung Q9 at 2000 nits and still find myself thinking the CX is too bright at times! Playing TLOU2 yesterday it was superb in the daylight sections and the contrast for the dark areas is outstanding.

This was my biggest concern. I had a 2017 Vizio M65 with a peak brightness of about 600 nits. It's average brightness was lower than that however, especially since I never used Vivid mode and only used the more cinematic settings.

I bought an LG CX three days ago at a steal, and the TV is a very noticeable amount brighter than my Vizio. I used them side-by-side and they don't even compare. The CX is truly superb.

That being said, the CX is more reflective, so the window in my apartment is more noticeable on the CX than it was on the Vizio due to the Vizio's more matte finish. But the brightness of the CX takes care of this most of the time. It's only noticeable if I'm watching something super dark at which point I just close the blinds and problem solved.

Edit: I also recommend the CX over the C1. All the YouTube videos I've watched have shown the C1 is a hair better but only when the TV's are side-by-side. In fact, many videos thought the CX was brighter. The fact you can save $500-700 on the CX is the biggest reason to buy it. The processor is better on the C1, but again, only when they're placed side-by-side.

<div class="md"><p>So I&#39;m in the market for an OLED, either the C1 or A80J. My only reservation is I hear OLEDs are lacking in the brightness department. I&#39;ve never seen one in person (home theater has only become a hobby since the pandemic hit).</p>

<p>My current TV, Vizio M558-G1, does perfectly fine in what I consider to be a well-lit living room, but I have no frame of reference for how an OLED would perform. I&#39;ve read the C1 and A80J hang around 700 nits, and my Vizio only get to about 400 nits according to spec sheet, so it should be an upgrade (on all fronts) right?</p>

<p>Anyone have any experience coming from a similar backlit LED to OLED? Appreciate the replies!</p>

Upgrading from Vizio LED. Brightness question (concern?)

TV will sometimes take 10-20 minutes to turn on.

 We have some customizations or shortcuts at the top under Kids and Family, Watch Free, Movies, Shows, Apps and Extras. The apps will take you directly into an app store where you can download your favorite applications. Once you download them and install them, it'll automatically add them to your home screen and it'll show it to you guys under the app section. And of course, right out of that, there's the free channels, live channels, collections, and then discover other content and access to basically your favorite shows in whichever format that you wanna use them

 We have a little bit of cable management in the back. And of course, they include the remote. The remote itself is actually nicely customized. There are six shortcuts built into it

 The Vizio UI is actually very nice and very customizable. There was a few apps that I couldn't find in here, but not everything was missing. I think for the most part, the main popular ones are there. And as far as inputs, since we have four HDMI inputs on this, you're able to add in something like the Mi TV stick

 You can even use the assistant and customize all of these. My hope is you find this video helpful and let me know in the comments below, what do you guys think of the Vizio PQ9 series? Again, this is the P65Q9J01 model, 65 inch, 120 Hertz, refresh rate 4K on two different ports. Again, thank you very much to MediaTek for sponsoring this video.  And it does actually have access to certain applications like Amazon, Netflix, all of the ones that we have shortcuts for, but like Apple TV and so on. One of the really nice things is that not only supports Chromecast functionality, but it also support AirPlay. So if you're using an Android or an iOS, you're not gonna have a problem streaming your content directly on this, as you can see here, AirPlay and Cast. So this is essentially Chromecast and AirPlay

The remote is just cheap, the rate you can press it at and get a press by the device is crap and very annoyingly: prev button doesn't do anything on text input [and back of course goes back a scene]

Buggy decompression in streaming video apps: Netflix hits this the most, and it's horrible ... It's not even normal compression artifacts it looks like some camera warp effect but you notice a lot of blocky compression in the same area

 So no text shortcuts and cheapo plastic, the amazon fire stick remote is better. The home button doesn't do what you think it should, it just does nothing if you're in the free tv area or somewhere other than top of home in menu.  I haven't even tried 4k@120 and I'm not sure I'll keep it. How annoying it is to unpack and setup a 65" and have to repackage I don't have to tell you
