Tested out my new waymark MILE and hexamid w/ doors this weekend and loved it. Kind of funny how many people were surprised that I was doing an overnight with a pack smaller than many peoples daypacks.

Waymark also makes a great pack, I don’t think you could go wrong with the EVLV or the THRU. Gossamer Gear has awesome customer service, which is why I primarily use their shelters, but I’ve never tried their packs personally. Consider looking at a few other companies, AllMansRight makes some cool looking backpacks out of the Bronx with a 4-5 week lead time currently.

I love my Waymark EVLV 35L so much that I bought the new EVLV 38L in ultra! The load lifter feature is awesome imo and I can’t seem to find many other sub 40 liter packs with them.

From what I remember the Waymark Thru never seemed very competitive in terms of weight (but then neither is the Prophet these days!). I would 100% go for the Prophet out of those two - just for the carrying comfort!

Season/s of use: All. Expected temperatures: Possibly low 30s. Ideal weight of the item: < 2 pounds, but ultimately doesn't matter as long as it's comfortable and easy to pack while having a frame. Previous experience with ultralight gear: 1 year with Waymark Thru 40.

Waymark EVLV - Just kind of meh on this one and there's not many reviews/feedback. MLD BURN 38L - too much hipbelt for my use case. Z-Packs Nero - the shoulder straps don't look comfortable (I have the arc blast and I think they're the same).

i have a tall pocket on my waymark. it is great, my tent only takes up like half of it so i can put my sleeping pad and whatever else in it as well so i don’t have to take everything out before my tent and i can pack things in the order you suggested. it’s less chaotic.
