 This is held up really, really well. I know some of the more expensive webers you can get like, you know, cast iron grates and that sort of stuff but I mean, for me, this has done great.  Hey y'all, Chef Irish Guy here and I want to do a follow-up review of the Weber Kettle 22-inch. I've been using this one for a few years and I just want to talk about a few things. Number one, this handle on the top, it does not get hot so you can easily lift your lid off as needed while you're cooking. This right here is easy to adjust

 It has a 22-inch grill surface area. Again, no problems with this. This is held up really, really well. I know some of the more expensive webers you can get like, you know, cast iron grates and that sort of stuff but I mean, for me, this has done great

 Had it for a few years, it's in great shape so, you know, being able to purchase something that may last a long time is great. This has a hook kind of hidden under here but see, that hook's on the side so if you need to keep it open or, you know, flip your meat, flip your burgers or whatever, that's something that a lot of people may not realize so that's a nice feature. It has a 22-inch grill surface area. Again, no problems with this

  The other feature added by the Gold is a grate with folding sides to allow you to add more charcoal when doing a long roast. A handy feature for sure, if you're cooking includes that, but I found those replacement Weber grates locally for twelve dollars, so wouldn't pay for the Gold model to get them.  And I guess that's another advantage of the Webers in general: They're so popular, replacement parts are easily found locally.  Sometimes, I long for the built-in side table of the Platinum, but that's a lot of money
