Guys and gals, I'm moving to an apartment where I can only have an electric grill.  Such a bummer.  I need a small grill that is electric, and I need some suggestions.  It's gunna be a big change from the big weber I had, and smoker, but can't give up cooking.  Quality, and small size, enough for a couple of people, just need some suggestions!  Thanks everyone.

Need help moving to apartment, need electric grill.

 So as we come round to the side you can see the gas bottle there and it has this drip tray underneath which just catches all the fat which is really great so that just all drips down to here and then that just simply slides out and you can empty that and then it's very very easy to clean. So this just shows how you start the barbecue, you open up the gas first of all, originally this came with a patio gas regulator but that was changed for one for propane so we could use it in lower temperatures, that's relatively easy to do with a Jubilee clip. So you just turn on the gas, the barbecue there and that's the ignition there, electric ignition and then you can see just very easily lights and that's the stainless steel ring there which heats up the grill and it's really good, it gives even heat over the whole cooking surface which is brilliant and then you can lower the hood and it's got a thermometer in the hood which is really key so you can see what temperature you're cooking at and it very much acts like an oven which is brilliant. So this just shows how you can actually lift the barbecue off, it comes off this stand and actually becomes quite portable, quite a small unit so it just slides off the stand like that with these clips and then to put it back on the stand you basically, the front feet just slide under these little bits of plastic on the front of the stand which you'll see here, just slides under there and then there's two clips which secure the barbecue onto the stand which is really great

I am looking for portable bbq and not sure which one to buy. 

I am vegetarian , so the cooking will be mostly vegetables and veg burgers 🍔.

I live in Calgary Canada and would like to be able to cook in winter time as necessary 


I would like to buy one which at least last few years. 

I have looked at the Weber q1000 but it’s little costly for me  and wondering if it justify the price ?!

Reliable Portable Gas BBQ

Hi folks! I’ve been looking around for a portable propane grill to use on car camping trips. I’ve narrowed my options down to either CharBroil Grill2Go X200 (with an aftermarket needle valve), Coleman Roadtrip 285, or Weber Q1200. 

The CharBroil grill appeals to me because it is more affordable, and has some decent reviews; it seems that with a bit of fine tuning with a couple cheap aftermarket parts, this grill offers good durability and function at a much lower price point. 

The Coleman is appealing because of the larger cooking area, quality cast iron grates, and reliable usability right out of the box.
The Weber also appeals for similar reasons. 

I’ve also have good experiences with the latter two brands in my past; however, I don’t have much experience with CharBroil portable grills. I have not had good experiences with the CharBroil full size propane grills; I’ve noticed poor build quality and poor reliability. 

I’m looking for some recommendations and/or insights for a good quality, dependable portable propane grill—talking BIFL quality.

My wife and I own a condo right now where only gas grills are allowed. We plan to keep our condo for a max of 7 years and then will probably look to get a house. I really miss grilling and have been thinking about getting a grill but I’m a little torn right now. What grill would be a good fit for someone who will eventually sell it off and move onto a charcoal grill. I feel like it shouldn’t be too low end because it does need to last a decent amount of time but not too high end because then I will have felt that I wasted that money since I didn’t keep it for life. The usage would just be for me and my wife and our son when he is old enough to eat solid food and maybe small parties (6-10 people). Any advice would be appreciated it! Also if you need more information on usage to help with recommendations let me know! Thanks!

Recommendation for a gas grill for someone who will eventually move to charcoal

Just found out the state wide fire ban includes charcoal grills and smokers.

So I’ve been using a propane grill at my apartment complex over the last two years, I use it nearly daily to make my dinner, but I’m running into a bit of a problem, I’m moving to a new place a couple blocks away soon, and sadly I won’t have access to that grill anymore, so I’ve decided that I’m going to buy one for myself, 

I’m looking for a good portable grill that would have plenty of space inside for me to make whatever I’d like, propane is preferred, but the main thing for me is that it has to be portable, I’m a relatively big guy so a bigger size isn’t a problem really as I could move it, but I’d like to be able to put it in my car if I need to (it’s a Jeep, plenty of space in there lol) or be able to take it tailgating or something 

I did see a grill that’s able to mount to the trailer hitch port and that did catch my attention but I’d definitely appreciate a recommendation from here
