Not sure if this is allowed or too redundant. I tried searching and didn't see any posts about these specific features.

My husband and I live in an all-tile home with 2 dogs. I'm looking for a moderately priced robot vacuum to help manage the dog hair - not necessarily the perfect clean since I try to mop once a week. I bought the ILIFEV80 Max Mop during Prime day and was happy about its cleaning ability but disappointed in its lack of "smart features" and am now looking for a robot vacuum that has :

1. digital mapping (virtual walls/no-go-zones)
2. recharge and resume
3. scheduling

I don't mind emptying frequently but a self-emptying option would be nice, and I don't need a mop feature.

I'm new to using a robot vacuum so if there's anything else I should look out for please let me know.

<div class="md"><p>Update: I bought the iHome Autovac Nova with an auto emptying base from Walmart for ~$180. It had all the features I was looking for. It&#39;s been about 2 weeks since I started using it. I have it scheduled to run about twice a day. Its mapping has been not been perfect but I&#39;ve been able to go back to the cleaning history and re-use old maps when the map gets weird. I like emptying on my own to see how much dust/hair the vacuum picks up, but I did use the auto-emptying a few times and it is just REALLY LOUD. I like that I can set certain areas to clean twice and others just once. Would recommend it as a budget and beginner robot vacuum. Compared to the ILIFE80 Max Mop this is much quieter and it mops and vacuums at the same time. I&#39;ve never used any other robot vacuums to compare it to. </p>

Buying advice: 1) mapping, 2) recharge resume 3) scheduling

 It is not picking up the hair as well despite being on the second to highest setting and the battery ran out quite quickly, when previously it had been able to cover the whole apartment in one go. I’ve seen reviews of people with much larger homes saying it is able to do theirs in one or two rounds so I am a bit confused about why it would not be able to do mine like it had been. Hoping the battery isn’t perpetually lower now for some odd reason. It is a bit finicky about remembering the spaces but I don’t want to give up on it because I felt like it was doing well when we first ran it a few times

My Neato D3 has fallen victim to their planned obsolescence scheme and cannot clean my whole house without intervention. I had been hoping to get it to the point where the technology was better, but here we are. I am not giving Neato another dime. 

My budget is around 400USD. My priorities are LIDAR so it can run at night and obstacle avoidance. I would love a self empty base but only if it is bagless or bag-reusable. Mopping will not be used as 90% of my place is carpet.

Things I am considering:

* Dreame L10 Pro or a Z10 if it is better at obstacles or performance. 
* A Neabot Q11. This seems to tick the boxes but what little info there is about it is mixed. 
* Importing a Xiaomi from AliExpress
* Accept worse obstacle avoidance and get a Shark

A lot of the vacuums I see are still from 2021. What is the usual release pattern on this stuff? If I suck it up with the D3 for another month or two is it likely that something that hits my big three requirements comes out?

Buying advice? Obstacle avoidance, lidar, good on carpets

  The worst is that it has to be on 2.4 wifi. For me, it's a hassle to do that, so I just don't use it. I'd love to get my money back, but not sure if I can

I was so excited to get this. I thought I'd never have to vacuum or mop again. Man, was I wrong. I'll preface this review with that it's my first "robot" vacuum and I did do my research

However, it does a OK job on carpets. Additionally, we have to take it up and down every time we clean. I am looking for the community's suggestion for a robo vacuum that is good with low pile carpet.

Best Robo vacuum for low pile carpet?

Not impressed

It seems to get lost quite often, gives me a message it cannot find home. navigation does not work properly even after mapping the area still hits the walls on the way to specified area. it has difficulty getting around from room to room, it took almost 10 minutes of bumping against wall before it got to the room I needed to clean. It loses connection to Wi-Fi quite often but I have strong Wi-Fi signal all over the house

  I have it scheduled to clean my house 1/2 at a time, as my 2.2k sqft home is just a tad too big for it to finish on one full charge with the suction on high. I keep the suction on high because I have 4 cats, so there's a lot of fur and kitty litter to be cleaned up. But in rooms the cats don't use, I definitely don't need max suction

 The robot calls out to you for help and also pings your phone, and the app walks you through how to fix any issue you have.  My ONLY complaint is that it gets lost whenever it goes onto my black hallway runner- I had to digitally block off that area from cleaning because it would think the sensors are dirty and that it was going to fall. But that's only an issue on that one black carpet (probably because it uses light to sense the depth of the floor, and black absorbs the light instead of reflecting it, so it can't gauge the distance). But it's easily avoided because in the app you can select areas of your home and say "Don't Mop" or "Don't Vacuum or Mop"

 I keep the suction on high because I have 4 cats, so there's a lot of fur and kitty litter to be cleaned up. But in rooms the cats don't use, I definitely don't need max suction. It actually just began cleaning now as I am writing this!
