 Hey it's Lockie with a review of the Yes PYL or Pick Your Line. The PYL has a tapered directional shape, slightly set back stance, with a medium stiff flex, sintered base, a regular waist width and the tapered underbite outline. It comes in sizes from 156 to 165, with a few wide models in there as well. I'm going to buy a new board this season and the PYL has made the short list. When I ride I'm usually headed into the glades to look for the powder and I love a good tree run. I never really hit the park but do enjoy some natural features. I'm also curious how this board performs at higher speeds. Are there better boards you'd recommend over the PYL?

Has any one ridden the Yes Pick Your Line? Do you recommend it?

 The result is the floaty feel of taper, the edge stability of underbite and the drive out of turns you need when free riding. The ashwood veneer topsheet dampens unwanted chatter and increases the board's pop. The faster you go, the more this topsheet smoothes out the ride. The 8 out of 10 flex is stable at high speeds, but you don't have to be an advanced rider to enjoy this board

 Refined by DCP, it loves free riding and doesn't compromise performance on firm or soft snow. The directional cam rock profile helps keep the nose afloat in fresh snow, while the tapered underbite guarantees edge grip on firmer snow. Boards with taper perform well in powder as there's more surface area in the tip than the tail. Tapered underbite steps in the edge at each foot for two longer sections and increases the side cut toward the tail

20/21 Sasquatch Quiver

Hey everyone, first time in this sub so not sure if I’m going about this correctly - basically I’m looking for specific (brand&amp;model) recommendations.

I’ve been snowboarding for about 7 years now and consider myself intermediate-advanced. The mountain I learned on was Schweitzer in North Idaho. Out west I regularly hit black diamonds and love going off trail and hitting tree runs. On the east coast (eye roll) I hit double blacks bc there’s nothing else worth hitting. 

I don’t do park, so I’m not looking for a freestyle board. 

I’m 6’ 2”, 185 lbs, and have size 12.5 feet.

I have no budget limitations. I’ve been using a burton bullet for my entire snowboarding career and it’s been way past time for a big upgrade. 

From my understanding I should be looking at freeride boards. The “Yes pick your line” board popped up as a big hit and I was thinking about grabbing that. 

Any thoughts are much appreciated! First time upgrading, and if I’m gonna splurge I want it to be the right pick.

Looking for advice on a new board

I'm looking for some suggestions/advice on a new board for the upcoming season.

Unfortunately, this past season, after about 45 total days on snow, I totaled my 2021 Jones Flagship. Now I LOVED my flagship, and normally I would just replace it, but I had a pretty terrible experience with Jones customer service and they won't honor my warranty, even though the part of the damage that actually made the board un-rideable seems to be a design/factory defect. I was pretty shocked by all of this, but I'm pretty turned off by the company right now and don't feel particularly inclined to reinvest my money into another Jones board so I'm looking for a replacement.

I'm an athletic male in my late 20's, 5'9, 160ish, and have been riding for close to 20 years. I probably average \~15 days a year, but the past couple years have been around 30 (just about all of it western US with some alps). I am a solidly advanced-expert rider who spends most of my time off groomers on more difficult terrain. I try and get at least one strictly back country trip in a year, but I usually just borrow or rent a splitboard for that so it's not as important. I'd say I'm mostly focused on "freeriding", but still get a lot of more standard "all mountain" resort days as well, so my goal is to find a board that can charge hard but isn't hard to have some fun on, especially in powder. I like stability at speed with the ability to still have some play on side hits. As much as I hate the term, I really am looking to replace the Flagship as my "do-it-all" board. For what it's worth, I also have a BC heli trip coming up this year, but I'm looking into buying or renting a powder-specific board, so that's also slightly less of a focus.

Any and all insight/suggestions/advice is appreciated. Thanks!
