It cooked quietly and held pressure steadily without making us fiddle with the stove. Despite falling short of the 250°F target for high pressure, it cooked beef stew, pork ragu, risotto, and other dishes well and within recipe times. Its simple design made it easy to use and clean.

 In terms of quality the new zavor is much lighter than the old fagor which is good. But we had to return the 6.4 at which we purchased at the same time but never used because it came with two dents. So beware quality, they probably should have stayed with the heavier material for the pot

Qualtiy poor

 It would come to pressure, but it lost pressure immediately if the burner went below the highest setting. Because of this, most of the cooking liquid would evaporate.  Despite the terrible quality control, there aren't a lot of other options on the market for large stove top pressure cookers. If you decide to buy a Zavor pressure cooker, I suggest testing it with plain water before you throw away the box

I received two defective units

 Too much trouble for a new pressure cooker so I plan to return it and try Zavor's 10qt since the 8.4 was borderline too small for my purposes. If I have issues with the 10qt cooker I will be trying a different brand cooker.

Not reliable!

 I contacted the company and customer service was quick to respond and they sent me out a new pressure valve to install. After installing that one it did the exact same thing. The only reason I’m giving it two stars is because the first two meals came out great and the customer service was quick to respond, but after trying to make this pressure cooker work a few times after the new valve it was not worth the time and money.

Works well

 The problem we had is the DUo leaked steam to the left of the handle between the top and the pot. We tried to wash it and oil the gasket per the directions several times without success. I even rotated the gasket 180°, but the steam leaked from the same spot next to the handle. I called Zavor and troubleshot the problem with their customer service rep, but it still leaked

Sturdy Pressure Cooker that leaks

 This time the cooker held pressure without leaking. I really didn’t want to go through the hassle of returning the cooker. Will provide additional feedback going forward.

One thing I’ve learned from ordering items online is to test them right after they are received. This pressure cooker leaked around the point where the handle attaches to the lid. Water dribbled out onto the stovetop as pressure built. Once I saw where the water and steam were coming from I released the steam and took the lid off

This pressure cooker appears to be well constructed.

 I never use the low-pressure setting on this one. I tried once with vegetables and cooked them a minute too long so they turned out mushy. 2) the screws attaching the handle to the lid periodically get lose, which loses the pressure seal. You just need to check them and tighten them
