I usually bring a lot of crap, so it has to be quite big, but still be possible to carry on. * Preferably load lifters (I have a Wandrd Prvke 31 liters which I've been traveling with, and load lifters would've been great to have). * At least one pocket for a water bottle (preferably one that is easy accessible from the outside of the bag, but if there is an internal pocket that might suffice as well)

I like the split depth with very limited forced organization and have had a different experience to others here wherein I am able to fit my 16" laptop just fine (although, with only a case and not a protective sleeve but the padding of the laptop compartment is great in my opinion) and the material has yet to show a mark even after several trips including two with it under the airplane seat in front of me. I can see the arguments against the straps and back panel, but honestly, anything was an upgrade from my last bag (40L Ebags Motherload Junior) so I like them. All that said, I think the Bellroy Transit will probably fit your business-first EDC needs better than the Allpa. As mentioned by others, the Allpa does droop when half empty and I suspect you will enjoy the more forced organization of the Bellroy for an EDC not to mention the potentially better back panel and straps

Bellroy transit has been the comfiest I have used. I have used the farpoint 40, Cotopaxi allpa 28, fjallraven travel pack, fjallraven high coast, a shittt Cabin Max and several Quechuas.

Just be sure the camping gear is stuff you would be comfortable using. You might try the WANDRD PRVKE 41L or shimoda pack or a https://www.wandrd.com/products/fernweh (However at 50L there is a risk of having to check it)

The UA21 is the excursion bag, mostly day hikes or playground/park visits. When I return to the office, I plan to try out my AEL or might return to using my bellroy transit. For future family travels, I'm still using 2-3 bags we have for those. We used to go somewhere once every 3 months, whether it was a trip or camping so the stuff got used pretty frequently

I recently gave the Wandrd Prvke a trail run because I had heard good things, I hated it. My main turnoff of the Prvke is the roll top. I just can't do it. The comfort just isn't it either
