I tested with a pair of Sennheiser Momentum Studio headphones, Shure SE425 IEM's, Shure SE215 IEM's and some cheap Skull Candy earbuds--just to name a few. My recommendation is to buy this unit and pair it with some inexpensive IEM's like the Shure SE215 or the Westone W20; instead of buying a piar of "Truly" Wireless Earbuds with the very limited Bluetooth capabilities and sound quality. If you are going to spend $200-300 on Wireless earbuds, anyway, it would be better to buy some descent IEM's and pair it with the ES100 BT module. I promise you, it is worth it

The BTR5 is much better in this regard and tends to have a good balance.
