Our first impression of the Wayfinder 40L is that it is a BIG pack. The liter capacity is the same on the unisex and women’s fit, so if you have a smaller frame, this pack will look pretty big on your back. 

Moving on to the main compartment, you’ll find a horseshoe opening here. For this design, we recommend using packing cubes to utilize space and make it easier to reach items at the bottom of the pack.

 The hip belt is also slightly curved. These changes all come together to make the pack work well for smaller frames and to fit the curves of a woman’s body, making the overall carry much more comfortable. 

In testing, we’ve thoroughly enjoyed using this backpack and we think it makes a great carry-on compliant travel companion. The harness system is incredibly comfortable and we love having the option to pick this pack up in a unisex or a women’s specific fit!

 The Zippers here are also water resistant,, which is great if you're carrying around expensive electronics with you. The Padded laptop sleeve In this compartment is large enough for most 17-inch laptops, and there's a smaller sleeve in front for a tablet. There's even more room for other stuff here too,, such as flatter items and documents. Finally There's a hidden tech pouch at the back of the pack

. All of the zippers on this pack are unbranded. And While we've had no problems with them in testing,, we do hold concerns over their long-term durability. On A positive note,: the zipper pulls on this pack were a joy to use and made the zippers easy to operate even when the pack was at full capacity

. This Bag has held up very well so far and there are no signs of wear and tear whatsoever.. In Testing We've thoroughly enjoyed using this pack and we feel that it makes a great carry-on compliant travel companion

 So That's a nice touch. When It comes to the buckles and hardware. they are all ITW and Duraflex. These are reliable brands that have worked well for us in testing, and they're generally known for being very durable

. Both Hannah and I Found the harness system to be very comfortable. Eagle Creek definitely knows how to makes a solid harness system. Although We haven't gotten our hands on the women's version yet,

 The bigger complaints that we have with these straps being a little bit dangly in some areas, the hip belt just being very massive,, and some of the organizational systems and pockets being a little bit harder to utilize as you fill out the interior of the pack more.. And This is a Pack Hacker review, so we're always going to dig into those cons and nitpicks.

. The Left-hand side,, which is a little bit larger, offers a 17 inch padded laptop sleeve with a false bottom. And Basically, that false bottom ends a little bit further up than the bottom of the pack. So If you drop your pack,, the impact is not going to affect your laptop quite as much as it would if it was right against the bottom

I purchased the Alpaca 45 because I wanted a small pack to keep all of my biking gear together and easy to throw in the car for a weekend trip or just a ride after work. The Alpaca 45 is a perfect size for shoes, helmet, hydration pack, and biking clothes. The backpack straps were a HUGE selling feature for me because trying to wheel or ride your bike while wearing a duffle is near impossible. Pack is very durable and weather resistant

I've been traveling full time for the past 2 years and I use the big backpacking backpacks (Jade to be exact) most of the time. But recently I've been living in my van and I don't always need the big giant pack! Instead I use this when I travel somewhere for the weekend or have a "sleepover bag" when I visit a friend.
