This backpack by Osprey is very well made but keep in mind this is a laptop backpack. It’s not going to take a lot and I am quite disappointed with the size. It’s long but thin. Zipper doesn’t go all around because of the bottle pocket will not allow for this

Not a full zip-around, but great for intraday use

 I imagine the carabiner on the right shoulder strap could come in handy to secure it to a chair or stroller when out in public and not wearing it on my back.

 I think this is due to the how little this protrudes away from your back, and the ridged foam back panel that gives it a nice flat surface that comfortably rests on your back. (pic of empty backpack staying flat when I’m holding it up horizontally) Photos are for size and volume. I do not have the best lighting, and the backpack looks much nicer in person. Also, in most photos, I left the water bottles in the outer pocket, which gives makes the backpack look uncharacteristically lumpy

  For the sake of this review and photos, I tried to fill the bag up to show what can fit. Even then, it was still very comfortable, definitely did not feel the weight like I would when using any other backpack I own. 4.5 stars, Great day bag / diaper bag

Great build quality, looks nice, minimal and slim despite the fact that it fits way more than it looks like it does. Great laptop and secondary laptop/iPad sleeve inside. Water resistant material, great ergonomics and spaces/pockets inside. Feels good on the back too

GORUCK GR1 Review (Travel Backpack) | Pack Hacker

 It seems "stiff" and "not roomy" I can't hold as much as I thought and when I do have to find something in there it's hard to locate I think because the backpack is more long then wide, it's more like a cylinder so I find myself stacking stuff on top of each other rather then next to each other. I've tried to take it as an overnight bag and could only fit a pair of jeans a couple shirts and a makeup bag so don't plan on packing all you need for an overnight stay in this bag.

Could be a little more roomy

 Maybe putting heavier items in the bag will fix the problem. Perhaps if I stopped 2 starpping it and stuck to 1 strap.  Does it deserve to lose 2 stars for this inconvenience? I'm not sure. I just know this is a daily problem, and people should be made aware before buying

  Had this backpack for almost 3 years, light use, take it to work every day. Will continue to use it cause it looks cool. But damn if I'm not pulling the back of my shirt down every 5 steps I take.  I've never owned a canvas bag so either all of them do this or this is a design flaw, I don't know

Shirt Rides Up 😐

 I knew it was over between us. To be frank the external zippers on this bag - ran rough at times - like an 80's impala. But I wrote it off to the "brassiness" and presumed, heartiness of the zippers themselves. Now, if you don't mind a bag with an unclosable zipper I suppose it would still function in purpose

 Then last week, I noticed the front pocket open and I assumed I just left it that way. But then I saw the partially open set of teeth behind the zipper pull and it did not Auger well. I knew it was over between us. To be frank the external zippers on this bag - ran rough at times - like an 80's impala

  On with the review... On the first day of receiving this pack, I will admit I was not completely sold

 It is comfortable to carry once you have it fitted to you. The buttons and straps are also very sturdy and should hold up for a long while. The magnetic buttons were a bit tedious for me to align without actually looking at what I was doing, but this was solved easily by adjusting the buckle to the correct size depending on how filled the bag actually is. I have received many compliments on this bag, and I feel like my money really went a long way when buying this bag

Its time to review this

 The exterior pockets are awkward, but the pack itself is very comfortable when wearing. I prefer using backpacks instead of purses, so this is a perfect solution, as it is not too tremendous for daily use, but also spacious enough for my needs.

Looks nice but not very functional

So far, within the one day that i have used this bag i have found two issues. First thing, three of the zippers on pockets were all messed up. Like the slider was in the center of zipper chain, but it was closed on both sides of it. That was easily resolved, but something i felt wasn't alright for a brand new bag

 Also, the straps are completely uneven. One strap is about 4 inches longer than the other! What?!?! I am not sure how durable it is yet..
