This backpack by Osprey is very well made but keep in mind this is a laptop backpack. It’s not going to take a lot and I am quite disappointed with the size. It’s long but thin. Zipper doesn’t go all around because of the bottle pocket will not allow for this

 If you're at all familiar with the backpack space, then you'll know of Goruck's for now. Having spent some time with the Gr1 for ourselves, we'll be the first to tell you the bag doesn't disappoint. However, it's important to keep your expectations realistic. The Gr1 isn't abounding with organizational provisions, and it won't wow you with a bunch of fancy bells and whistles

 Because it's designed to double as a rucking bag, the Jr1 boasts some of the beefiest straps you'll find on a backpack. Where most packs typically come with some plushy mesh padding on their straps, the Gr1 instead sports two layers of dense foam, one to provide structure and the other to add a bit of comfort. They're pretty stiff when you first get the bag, but they'll break in more and more with continued use. It's worth noting, though the straps are pretty coarse

 However, it also makes the pocket into something of a bottomless black hole. Not a deal breaker by any means, just something to consider if you're packing and unpacking on the move. No matter how much weight you're carrying, just be sure to check your size. Our tester stands a solid 511, and while the 21 liter makes for a great fit, the larger 26 liter model can be a bit long depending on the size of your torso

This is also very comfortable when worn, as the shoulder straps and back of the bag are very well-padded.  • Durability: As noted, this is well-padded and made of a solid polyester fabric material. As I intend to wear this for walks to/from the office and daytrips, I believe this should hold up just fine.  In summary, I love the color and comfort

Not a full zip-around, but great for intraday use

 I imagine the carabiner on the right shoulder strap could come in handy to secure it to a chair or stroller when out in public and not wearing it on my back.

 I think this is due to the how little this protrudes away from your back, and the ridged foam back panel that gives it a nice flat surface that comfortably rests on your back. (pic of empty backpack staying flat when I’m holding it up horizontally) Photos are for size and volume. I do not have the best lighting, and the backpack looks much nicer in person. Also, in most photos, I left the water bottles in the outer pocket, which gives makes the backpack look uncharacteristically lumpy

  For the sake of this review and photos, I tried to fill the bag up to show what can fit. Even then, it was still very comfortable, definitely did not feel the weight like I would when using any other backpack I own. 4.5 stars, Great day bag / diaper bag

Great build quality, looks nice, minimal and slim despite the fact that it fits way more than it looks like it does. Great laptop and secondary laptop/iPad sleeve inside. Water resistant material, great ergonomics and spaces/pockets inside. Feels good on the back too

The front grab handle gets in the way of using the zippers and accessing the front compartment (see picture). I appreciate having the extra grab handle, but do not think it is worth this frustration. 

The straps and back are comfortbale. I like that the sternum strap is removable (though I leave mine on most of the time). I am not sure if this is an intentional design, but I appreciate that the I can tuck the excess strap that hangs below the buckle into the buckle so that it is not dangling all over the place (see picture). 

Great everyday backpack

 The zipper pulls are long and easy to use. This bag is primarily for short trips with my laptop where I also head to the gym. It's freestanding, and has a pocket for a water bottle. This bag is nearly perfect for my needs

A hip strap would be the only welcome addition. I sized up to the 28L since I read reviews that the smaller bag will not fit a 15" laptop.

 We all talk about the price in our my reviews. The price on this pack is 120 and I've actually seen it on sale for like 84 bucks. So for 84 bucks this is a win. Oh win

 Like I said before, they're a thinner shoulder strap, you know, So it's not a lot of padding in there, but it feels really good on your shoulders even with a heavier load. Because I like my camera my everyday carry stuff. my laptop put all of that stuff in this bag and it still was very comfortable, so I like that a lot. You get the little mountain hardwear branding right there

 Really minimalistic. It's there in the front and the reflectivity. You have a sternum stretch on a 28 liter pack. I probably would take it off, but this might be a hiking pack for you so you might want to keep it on

 Also, the shoulder straps are very thin. Really great back panel and shoulder straps on this pack. They're thinner shoulder straps, but the density of this cushion is really really good. I actually like that these shoulder straps a whole whole lot

The backpack looks better than it does in the photos and feels well made and comfortable. There are handles on front and back for carrying. The back is nicely padded and cool. The straps are comfortable and easy to adjust
