 Now I don't think I'll be using it again on another thru hike unless for some reason I had to carry a lot of camera gear or just had an extreme amount of weight that I needed to carry and I really wanted to help distribute that across my back and down to my hips. That being said, if you're somebody who packs a little bit heavier or somebody who just doesn't know what they want yet, or you're new to backpacking, this may be the pack for you. It's an excellent pack overall. I put it through some abuse on the Pacific Crest Trail and I found that it came out the other side in pretty decent condition

 Sometimes I would sit down in the dirt and just lean back and that would be enough with my pad and my pack to just give me a little bit of a backrest. and I really did enjoy that at other times it was too heavy. At other times I found it was too clunky and too big. and there were times where I wish I had something a little bit more minimalist going the distance on the Pct

 So if you are carrying a significant amount of weight, I would say this might be a good pack for you. Now let's talk about the various pockets and compartments that this pack has to offer. First of all, you have the top piece, which is called the brain of the pack. Osprey Atmos Review from a Thru Hiker's Perspective

 You're just not going to carry your huge phone in the pockets. I think Osprey needs to come up with something similar to a Gregory Baltoro or Arc'teryx Altra / Bora waist belt design. This review is for the 53L edition which is the large size for the Atmos AG 50. My favorite feature is the pockets in the hip belt where you can store your snacks, sunblock, chapstick, pocketknife, yo-to, troll doll, etc., for easy access without removing the pack. The anti-gravity system is comfortable though it never successfully lifted me completely off the ground

 The mesh back was great and spared me the sweaty back experience. Does NOT come with a rain cover so you need to buy that separately. A generic rain cover is fine unless you need people to see the Osprey logo when you’re hiking in the rain. It’s hard to rate the comfort since all backpacking is a painful reminder that there are perfectly good cars and trucks that will move our possessions to the beach or mountains

Pretty good backpack got long hiking/camping trips

 However, for me, I have enough food for three days, a sleeping bag, some cookware, and plenty of room for other stuff, and the bag is quite comfortable on my back.  This brand is certainly a premium one, but it will make your investment of time and effort that much nicer if you're one to enjoy the outdoors.

 this might as well be the starship enterprise. Compared to my Maxpedition pack, this is its equal for durability, but far ahead in practicality and ease of use. It's also just simply more comfortable. The waist and chest straps, as well as the way the pack hugs over the hips, really helps distribute weight

This is an extremely nice pack for serious hikers. It's my second Osprey, and while somewhat smaller than my other one, is definitely my go to pack for anything trips of three days or less (Which is all of my trips).  Compared to my ole Army ALICE pack.

 There's a pronounced mesh back that serves two purposes. For one, my back sweats so much when I hike, and this gives tons of room for evaporation because the mesh has support. But also, the contents of the pack never hit my back. It's a subtle thing but after a couple of miles, it's really clear that this bag is a huge upgrade in comfort

 So let's get this all right. Time to pop this bag on. Normally I'll just strap the weight apart around my thighs if I find a place to put my bag on top of, and then I'll just sit down and just hold it on if this is. this is when I have a weight on, which makes it a bit easier

 nice for um, things that you access when you you know stop by a stop or whatever. but big space Eclipse. There's no zips here, but there is two ships on the side of it which is really good. Really deep, good space if you want to pack your bag up with, you know a bit essential stuff that you need to get quick access to

So because there's not really a big change on the material wise on this one I would expect this one to be a at least it's this one. so let me continue with the 2018 model

The Photography Bundle includes the PRVKE Pack, an Original Camera cube, Rainfly, Waist Belt, and a pair of Accessory Straps. We’ve taken our award-winning PRVKE line and made improvements to features and comfort. We started by updating the back panel and shoulder straps. Implementing new shapes and padding to create a more comfortable, breathable, and versatile carrying experience for all body shapes and sizes. We updated the Hidden Passport Pocket to be larger and more discreet. We also added a luggage pass-through strap. Other external changes include stronger magnets in the Tote Handles, updated zipper u-pullers, new easier-to-use Key Hook, branding updates, and velcro-and-roll Cinch Strap webbing organization. Inside the PRVKE we updated the Fleece Lined Pocket attaching it to the flap access point of the upper compartment and reversing the opening direction so it no longer hangs in your way when accessing the top compartment from inside the bag. We updated the laptop/tablet closure system and added 3 new pockets on the laptop/tablet sleeve. Finally, we removed the liner flap that covered the Camera Cube compartment for quick access to your gear. The perfect bag just got perfect-er.

That back access keeps dirt, moisture, and grime on the durable Tarpaulin material and off the back of the bag, and by extension, off your back. Another thoughtful feature is the passport pocket on the back panel, which keeps your passport safely resting against the small of your back. When it comes to pockets, this bag does provide some organization opportunities, but if you tend to be hyper-organized, its accouterments may not be enough for you. This pack carried easily carried a camera body and three pro-sized lenses. Along with that camera kit, it held a 16-inch Macbook Pro, tablet, and plenty of accessories. We think this bag is worth the price and will stand up to the job for multiple years to come.
Do we have complaints about this bag? Well, sure, but beyond the price, it's all nitpicking. We think the magnets that keep the top handles together are nifty, but we found they are not strong enough to keep the handles together in real-world testing. While we love roll-top designs, we found the oversized buckle used to close it a bit flashy. Like almost every bag we tested, we did find some moisture in the bag after the rain stress test. The final complaint is the weight of this bag; at 4.3 lbs, it is nearly a pound heavier than the next heaviest bag we tested. Okay, nitpicking over &mdash; Wait, one more thing; would it be so hard to give us a pen slot?
