 We have a simple grab handle for picking up and off the ground, and now we come to our main compartment. Now the main compartment is a really big and accessible top loading compartment. You can take the flap down almost completely to see all of your gear, which is really useful inside I've just got some of my essentials. I'Ve got a rain jacket, a tie and short jacket from Patagonia

 Just a nice clean silhouette - and here we have a quick access, zippered pocket now this compartment doesn't have any organization inside to help you organize gear. It'S just a quick stash area for little bits and pieces inside I have my little Leatherman. I also have some solid-state cologne, my keys and then at the top of the bag. There is a little loop here to add on some gear I've just put in my Nomad lightning charging cable, which is really handy

 Apart from to the padded 15-inch laptop compartment, this is my 13 inch MacBook Pro Retina and it fits in there with room to spare. Now, this laptop compartment is a suspended laptop compartment, which means that there is about an inch of space between the base of the bag and the laptop compartment. So, in the case that you might accidentally drop, your laptop there'll be a little bit of buffer before that impact reaches your laptop. So that's really handy

 We have two accessory loops one on each side. On the left side, we have a Patagonia, p6 logo and coming a bit further down, we have standard, do reflects ladder, locks useful for adjusting the tightness of the back at the top. We have a simple grab handle for picking up and off the ground, and now we come to our main compartment. Now the main compartment is a really big and accessible top loading compartment

The rest of the main compartment is a top load bottomless pit, so use those packing cubes people! The interior lining color differs from pack to pack depending on the exterior color you choose. However, Patagonia made sure to use different color exterior and interior colors, which we found really helpful when searching for gear inside the pack.

 We typically have it tightly bucked against the pack, utilizing the provided elastic keepers to keep the straps from dangling. It would be nice to have the option to remove this since we have chosen not to use it majority of the time. Also, keep a close eye on your elastic keepers, as one of ours fell off during our travels which was a bit sad. Luckily, when we reached out anonymously, Patagonia was super helpful and sent us a free replacement in a very timely manner

And last but not least, Patagonia uses Human Curve® shoulder straps and we’ve never had an issue with them the several years we’ve used the pack. They’re made to conform ergonomically to your shoulders and upper chest for added comfort with any carry, with a perfect amount of padding.

We do wish the pack had an optional sternum strap, which would be nice for heavier loads. Additionally, the hip belt doesn’t offer much support and tends to get in the way. I am a college student, and I have been meaning to downsize my backpack for a while now. Before, I was lugging around an excessively large backpack that was too bulky. I saw this backpack, and I knew it would be a great fit! It is big enough to fit a laptop, two notebooks, a 32oz waterbottle, and a few other essentials, yet it still manages to be light! I would definitely recommend getting this if you are a student, it has made my life a whole lot simpler!

 It's 20 liters in weighs around 420 grams. The generous easy access front loading compartment has a zippered stash pocket on the front which is great for your wallet and a phone. Inside the main compartment, you have a raised padded laptop sleeve that fits most dean inch laptops. Human curved shoulder straps are great for carrying comfort, while the top mounted reinforced haul handle allows you to carry this at your side

Got this in the black, well constructed as expected with Patagonia. Only reason I gave it a 4 stars. Is the black on the model is none of the colors as advertised for sale It's straight black or blue as not shown on body. Great bag though, many trips could be had with this backpack
