8 pounds. It'S not gon na win any comfort awards, but considering it's a packable duffel without any back padding, it's actually pretty decent. The shoulder straps are about as good as you're gon na get on a pack like this and to show you, i attached a sternum, strap from a different bag and it does help and again, like almost all these packable duffels. The black hole doesn't have any kind of back padding or air ventilation, but that's consistent

 It'S thick, durable, waterproof. This tpu coating makes it a little shiny, but it's quite a bit more flexible than fabrics with similar coatings. For example, the timbuk two bag has a tpu coating. However, it feels stiff and quite a bit more plasticky than the black hole fabric

 They don't cut corners with materials and hardware, it's rugged, durable lightweight and has a huge main compartment. I see these things all the time in the airport when i travel and if you like this style of duffel, this is likely going to be one of your go-to travel duffels and considering the quality on this thing, the price that i paid for it 129. Still a good bag, but not the same...

 I prefer a zipper that runs lengthwise so I can get to anything in the duffle without having to take out anything in its way with the current opening only being on side.

Lots of room and a great "backup bag"

 There's one small flap pocket in the inside center of one long side, but it won't hold much- about the size of a sandwich bag. Probably the only reason I didn't give it the fifth star is the shoulder strap- I'd prefer to be able to take 6-12" of slack out of it. Otherwise- I'm very satisfied. Sidenote- if you're on the fence on the size, this is about the size of a large gym bag

Overall I'm very satisfied with it

 Besides my back pack, which I filled with clothes, gear and toiletries, I was able to fit my tent (2-person backpacking) and a not-so-small self-inflating sleeping pad and still had room to spare for my hiking boots. Fabric and zipper is durable and it folds up nicely when not in use. Also light enough to be a non-issue to carry.

I bought this duffel to transport my 26L back pack on airlines. It fits  A LOT. Besides my back pack, which I filled with clothes, gear and toiletries, I was able to fit my tent (2-person backpacking) and a not-so-small self-inflating sleeping pad and still had room to spare for my hiking boots. Great back pack duffel for air travel

Fit a fully loaded Baltoro 75, full-sized hiking boots, with a bit of extra room on the end to spare. Plan on packing most items within your pack for protection, including tent and trekking poles. Was a snug fit, but flipping my pack upside down to fit the tote around the hip belt, etc., helped significantly

 Being able to pack itself into the built-in pocket was awesome after arriving at the other end. Ultimately, I really appreciated the piece of mind when checking my pack as airline luggage.

Perfect for my needs

 Solid seams and sturdy zipper. My recommendation is that any new design would have the zipper run the length of the bag instead of at the end of it so the backpack could be laid open and any additional gear could be laid in the open bag and not forced through the top and shaken down into it.
