The best camera for landscape photography we've tested is the Sony α7 III. Though it's now been replaced by the Sony α7 IV, this well-built camera remains a popular choice among newcomers and photography enthusiasts. It uses a 24-megapixel full-frame sensor that delivers incredibly high-quality images with a ton of dynamic range to give you more latitude when processing your photos.

Got this camera for a streaming setup and love the look and quality. Paired with cheaper sigma lenses, it's one of the most cost-efficient to quality images I could create before buying the semi-professional a7 series and above. Works well with Elgato cam link or direct USB connection with sony imaging software however, it seems to overheat quicker with a USB connection. Your space needs to be evenly cooled to around 72 F because it tends to overheat, even with a dummy battery so it can cut out during a stream after 30-40 minutes

It's become clear that the A7C overheats shooting 4K24/4K30 around the 1:20 or 1:30 mark. This is not even recording continuously, it's just having the camera turned on (for CamLink output or b-roll) that long at a time. I wanted to see if this "issue" lines up with what the A7C is capable of. I do video work for a living, so I am considering selling my A7 III and getting an A7S III as my main video shooter

Only 8-bit -Rolling shutter, not good for serious vloggers -No flash (would rather have a small pop-up flash instead of the EVF) -EVF black outs during capture (unlike some competitors) -Selfie LCD screen is blocked by hotshoe accessories (need smallrig coldshoe relocators for vlogging, but this misses out on hot features) -Only 1 card slot, only UHS-I (slow buffer speeds, unable to operate anything other than shoot, while clearing buffer memory) -In-camera level doesn't do straight up or down -Boxy ergonomics -Memory recall modes don't recall settings for modes other than 1 or 2. I love the subject tracking. I love that there are so many focus options (area size, position, tracking, flex, etc). I'm also very happy with the size of the 2 lenses. Some people, complain that the touch screen can't be used for the menu

I then tried to use the manual focus but nothing happens, I remembered I had to turn the manual focus option on, so I get into the menu and the focus mode option is greyed out, if I try get into the option an error message "your lens is not supported or its installed incorrectly" shows up, only way to go is to shut camera off and turned it on again, which will return autofocus to work, but if i repeat the exercise it just stops working all over again, sometimes even without crop mode/zoom mode on, just by going from 28 to 70 mm on the lens, or even mid way, maybe 40 mm or 50 mm. Sometimes even the camera would pull me out of menu screen, I would click menu button, I am trying to navigate menu, then you can hear the focus mechanism moving and camera pulls me out of menu screen o regular screen, I have to press menu again, sometimes to be pulled out of the menu repeated times I re installed the lens (white dot with white dot, turn until click noise) golden plates on the lens are clean, did this 3 times, nothing. I called Amazon service, friendly person who quickly contacted me to Sony, and this is the part I did not like. We went through basic things to try and fix the issue, including resetting the camera, after which the issue presented itself quite quickly, so the person at Sony (again, a very friendly and helpful person) told me I needed to send the camera back to Sony for service

Skin tones in portraits look a bit orangey in my initial tests. Overall, this rig enables me to hold on to my investment in APSC lenses a while longer before I take the leap into full frame.

The A9 has all of Sony’s bells and whistles, but it comes with a price tag to match. The new A7 models, however, bring many of the A9’s advancements down to more pedestrian price levels. These are certainly still professional level cameras — the A7 III runs for $1,999 without a lens, while the higher-resolution A7R III commands $3,199 — but the difference in price from the A9 leaves a lot of room for lenses or other necessary equipment.

A used Olympus EM5 mark ii/iii/iv (whichever fits your budget) <-- this is my recommendation

A Sony A7iii could be an option as they’re slightly lighter and, being an older generation, cheaper. The biggest bulk & weight is going to be your lens though and if you’re using it professionally I wouldn’t recommend cutting down on the quality of lens so I’m not sure how much you’re going to save in terms of weight and size overall to be honest!

Bought this 2 days ago ,Camera is great I replaced my Sony a7III did not like it at all , What I need is something not so complicated as the a6600 . Plus much lighter that any other camera .Very highly recommended Great Price

I sold a Sony a6400 and bought this model because I need the in body image stabilization for some lenses. It feels good in the hand, with a comfortable grip and overall balance. Sony's auto-focus is renowned for its speed and accuracy, and the camera's overall image quality is excellent. The only negative factor is that it doesn't have a pop-up flash

I get it, it can plug into your computer to charge or car adapter via USB-C. But that means more wear and tear on the USB port which will eventually be loose and then have issues.
