Google's groundwork has finally paid off for Chromebooks

 Large touchpad is not useful or necessary. Feel of the trackpad is below average. Rattles very slightly (due to it also being a physical button for clicking) which can be annoying if you are particular. - Keyboard: Doesn't feel premium

 I've tried it, but I thought it was too slow. It has a beautiful screen but I think 13.3 inch is too small for 1080p, imho.

 I say it's about average or a little below average. - Battery: About 4 - 5 hours with extensive use, which I think is pretty good for having a 15.6 inch 1080p screen. - Overall: The ACER Chromebook 15 has an average or a little below average feel, but the screen (if you don't watch movies) and speed makes up for it

If you want a Large, Fast Chromebook, this is it!

 Same story, called back again and sent it back again to repair station in Texas. Came back and they said it lasted 7 hours streaming, no problem. Same story only less than three hours of battery life. Cost be $45 first time to send it for repair

Really quick on internet and You Tube etc. Do not expect to get 8 hours of battery life as advertised. I did to a few months then all of sudden I could only get 3 hours or less. Sent back to Acer repair station and they supposedly replaced battery and sent back to me

I would like to find something lightweight with a metal housing like a Macbook Air but less powerful. I'm currently eyeing a Star Lite Mk III or Pinebook Pro however both happen to be out of stock right now so I want to see what other options might exist in the mean time.

In search of an ideal passively cooled YouTube laptop

 Cut down tasks to, say, a single tab for watching Netflix or working on an essay in Google Docs, and the experience improves, but the bar needs to be higher here than what the Chromebook 15 currently can do.

e., the only thing you can actually run on a Chromebook), there just simply isn’t enough memory for multitasking properly. My usual workload — pared down to roughly four Chrome windows, Tweetdeck, Slack, and some music in the background — was enough to bring the Chromebook 15 to its knees. According to a Chrome OS system tool, I’m currently using roughly 98 percent of available memory, which means that everything just runs kind of sluggish

The Pentium N4200 processor also struggled a bit when there was too much going on from a multitasking perspective. For less pressing tasks, the Chromebook 15 was fine, but using it still felt in many ways like trying to run with weights around my ankles, and when I had to handle more time-sensitive projects — even ones that can be performed entirely within Chrome — I ended up switching back to my regular MacBook Pro.

What's a good upgrade from my current Chromebook?

Updated on January 2017: I changing my rating from 3 stars to two. It's been about 8 month since I bought this laptop and it consistently freezes now. Sorry, I don't think I'd recommend this product to others. I bought Acer C910-54M1 15

 PROS: The speed. This laptop powers up in no time, and operates quite fast. However, I noticed that if you have a lot of windows/tasks running then the system freezes occasionally. The matte display, no glare; Full HD screen; CONS: There isn't any "Delete" key in the keyboard! This may seem like a small and unimportant thing, but it annoys me so much that I have to re-position the cursor or use the navigation keys and then the backspace keys to delete something

6-Inch Chromebook on Amazon about 6 months ago and was using it since. It has definite pros and cons. PROS: The speed. This laptop powers up in no time, and operates quite fast
