 So i can click on message and then i can select who i want to to send a message to and it you can sync with your phone or your your contacts in your smartphone and you can pick from phone numbers to emails. I'M just going to pick an email because it shows up right here at the top and then down here you can, then you hit that button or the at the bottom, and it has the letters just like you would message or text somebody on your on your Cell phone, so let's just make do a test here, so i typed it in it's really fast and once i'm done, i can hit send there's a send button right here at the bottom, and i've already sent several messages to myself tested in some other videos. In the past, so right here it says uh just what i just sent test from acr bivi stick and i sent it to an email. So, let's see i'm gon na switch over to my email, real, quick and see if it actually went to me already and being that i actually right here, i'm in cell service, so it's using satellite messenger, but my my phone's in cell service

 I would put the garmin inreach mini as a 4.5 out of five, and then i would put this just right behind it. At four out of five, but i really like it a lot: it's it's not my favorite, but boy, it's not too far from it. It'S a great device

 There'S there's several things. You can turn on or off the waypoints. You can select kind of map. You want the middle button here, like zooms in on your location, so you can see where i'm at after the filtered by you can see different things here, there's um some some waypoints

 It'S really handy, there's some things here at the top from sos check in and it's kind of hard to see with the sun. In my face, there's new adventures, offline maps, waypoints weather, there's several things here in the middle and then down at the bottom. There'S home maps it says, stick and messages so everything's really easy to get to and again i'll show some screenshots of all this. The the first thing i always do you know, take a look at the maps of course, so right down here at the bottom, you click on maps and several things show up here shows your location up at the top right here

 I did learn that you really do need a pretty clear shot of the open sky for best signal strength. But that is true no matter which device you use. I am very happy with the Bivy Stick. Even if money was no object, I still think I would buy the Bivy Stick over the Garmin inReach

 Because i wanted to be able to text my wife if something were to happen, and i would have a reliable form of communication so so getting back real, quick, i'm going to wrap up the app here. The app is really stupid, simple. So the app is really simple: it's not hard at all. It'S it's! It'S just super simple super simple stuff here, like i said no frills, straightforward, there's really not much to the app it gives you exactly what you need

99 and obviously unlimited um, so um. Usually the weather report is one credit that said one hour of tracking, because there's a tracking on this with the app is one hour is one credit which that's you know. You'Re gon na want the unlimited plan, if you're gon na use that i think um share. Your location, you can do that

 I just don't do that um. So it's it's really nice, compactable and or packable, and the other thing another thing that i really do like about this is that when you do open your app as long as you have cell coverage, okay, the weather function, so you have uh several you have home. You have a map which is a nice map. It actually has an area where you're at and it has trails and such so people have loaded up

 So, okay from 20 to 100 credits, which, by the way a text message going out, is a credit and then, when someone texts you back coming in that's a credit uh. The unlimited plan is 49.99 and obviously unlimited um, so um. Usually the weather report is one credit that said one hour of tracking, because there's a tracking on this with the app is one hour is one credit which that's you know

Bivy Stick | Updated Impressions

Excellent Apps, small & attractive device

 So I've got unlimited use available from the device for $ 50 a month which matches the pricing of the zillio in their unlimited plan as well. So the benefits to that is, if I'm paying the same amount and I've got things like tracking available. Then this may be the better device for you than going with the zillio, for example, even though, like maybe the apps not is like well put together. That shouldn't be necessarily a reason to not use this device, because I've got the ability to track within the bivi app ability to download offline maps for my trucks and everything within the bivi app as well

 So this is a two-way communicator, so I'm able to send text messages to any email or phone number, as well as receive text messages to the dedicated phone number that you get with your bivy stick account. Yes, you get a dedicated phone number, that is yours and it sticks with the device. Some devices out there don't provide that feature and you get a different phone number every time you log in or every time you set up the device or whatever. This has a dedicated phone number and that's really nice, because I can tell my wife I can tell my friends here: is my busy stick number and save this in your phone here on the side they have added, like I said just a couple minutes ago, there Is a check-in button and the ability to set up a check-in message to various contacts within the bivi app? And it's really nice to be able to be able to send the emails to be able to send to whatever phone numbers

 Information will give you all of the temperature ranges and that kind of stuff, and you can do it over three days or seven days. The other thing is using it connecting it to your phone, allows you to send and receive text messages, so outgoing messages and receive incoming messages, and then also to be able to do tracking with the device. I'M able to do tracking which these olio does not have that option currently, and that is a big difference between the two, because if I was being absolutely 100 % honest right now - and I was a consumer trying to decide which of these two devices to purchase. Having never used them before the Solio would honestly be my preference, and the reason for that is zillio is really polished
