We did notice when mounting the sensor, the screws stripped the plastic. Like the Ambient Weather Osprey, we also noticed the rain likely icon appeared when conditions were clear. However, the readings regarding wind, temperature, and humidity were more often than not spot-on. We find these gripes are trivial compared to the efficacy and outstanding amount of features given the nominal price.

 Not so good for a two-month old unit.  Oh, and I had ordered an additional external temp sensor. The instructions are WRONG about how to set it up to read correctly on the panel. There's a way to get it to cycle from reading multiple external sensors, but it's not as written

 Now a year later the temp is stuck at 73F, the wind still works but it constantly says Rain and 73F. I can't trust the ticker and year to date, moth to date stuff because of the battery back up issue I already talked about. So basically I paid a decent amount of money to know what direction the wind is coming from.

OK when it works...WHEN it works

 Instead we used a few rounds of electrical tape as a makeshift "collar".  It seems to be very accurate. I've confirmed the temperature with a nearby weather station and the anemometer data with a Kestrel device. There is a "leaning" phase while it gets used to the humidity and temperature variability but even during that phase it was accurate

The display is large but it can be finicky to read as there's a definite "sweet spot" that you need to find when you're figuring out where to put it. Too high or too low and the digital readouts are very hard to see

Solid little weather station

The temperature matches my car temp reading exactly which is important for me as I go to at 530am and I live in the northeast. Dislikes..the lightning detector rattles from some kind of loose pieces of metal inside and it flashes nonstop to relocate sensor

Purchased AcuRite Iris (5-in-1) Professional Weather Station with LCD Display and Lightning Detection for my Father's birthday present. Installed it for him per the instructions, had to reset it twice before all of the settings would display. Less than 4 hours later, he called to tell me the indoor settings are now all blank. Reset again and the same thing happened
