BEST all around speaker?

 Latency is expected when connecting wireless with Bluetooth. However, it is NOT expected when you are hard-wired into the speaker. But the Aiwa must have all audio going through the DSP circuit because I'm getting about a 1/2 second of delay. Now this is not an issue if you are simply playing music from your phone

. This has a massive amount of latency (delayed signal). Latency is expected when connecting wireless with Bluetooth. However, it is NOT expected when you are hard-wired into the speaker

  So I bought the Aiwa and it sounds good as a bluetooth speaker. It's rugged and well built. So I'll use it as a bluetooth speaker. BUT

I have the small OontZ Angle 3 speaker and was looking for something louder. I'm a video producer and musician. I need a bluetooth speaker to be loud outside when I'm shooting music videos. The performer needs to be able to hear the music when we are shooting

Loud and rugged but has annoying voice announcements and extreme latency

For $200 a set of Soundcore Motion Boom Speakers will deliver amazing sound for the buck.

Have you given the JBL Xtreme 3 a listen?  Thing is solid and sounds good, can charge via USB C and will charge a phone, etc. from the speaker, waterproof.  I really like the thing so far.  I'm sure some people will hate on them, just because they're JBL, but they make some killer gear.  

I've had the bowers and wilkins T7 for about 7 years until it literally couldn't take my abuse anymore.  I must say, it did sound fantastic, especially for the size.  It did stand up to A LOT of use though.  So, it was important for me to get something waterproof this time, and I was also tired of carrying around a wall wart with it.  

B&W makes a zeppelin model or something for in-home, less portable use.  I would give that some consideration if you're not taking it outside and all over the place.  

Now I'm curious about that mini rig for carry on travelling though.  :-O

The size and functions doesn't matter, they can be big. I just want to be able to connect them with my phone. And I know that I can't get perfect audiophile quality with bluetooth speakers, but I want to know the closest thing to it.

Best bluetooth speakers (closest to audiophile quality)?

Originally bought this because I’ve been blown away every single time I fire up my (2) exos 9s, that I’ve owned since 2015. I was looking for something smaller and waterproof and wanted to try this out, but I don’t think it’s any better than my Milwaukee 2891-20 Bluetooth unit. It really needs an equalizer but I’d bet it would loose the ip67 rating.

No replacement for displacement

Aiwa is definitely my best sound quality speaker but because I have two small kids then microphone input really missing there for caroke. I very often thinking about to sell my Aiwa and buy PB110 :D. Aiwa ratio of power, bass, sound quality and weight is really unbeatable.

When and where do you use your bluethooth speaker the most and why?

  Bottom line, this is still a great speaker, best overall i feel for the price and still highly recommend it.

This speaker is wonderful. Rich and full music without sounding boomy, shrill, or artificial. Just a natural all around detailed sound. Paired together in TWS mode (I have two), they sound amazing playing almost every genre of music I have tried

I also have JBL charge 3, Flip 4, and extreme 2, HK Onyx, Doss Soundbox and Soundbox XL, Soundcore 2 and Motion +, Bugani M8, Oontz 3 and solo, W-King, and a Marshall Killburn II, and the Aiwa Exos-9 to compare the spund profile to it currently and have had many others in the past (I have a problem). The Exos-3, or better yet, two paired is my go to out of all of them

Hey guys, looking for something portable (could carry in large purse or backpack, not wanting to have to depend on shoulder strap or handle), and something versatile for indoor, outdoor, and pool use. So far I've ruled out the Flip 5, Flare+, Pulse 3, and Motion boom to be left with these options. 

I like the charge 4 for its capacity, seemingly perfect size, and dependability for being waterproof. I'm not sure how much mono vs stereo actually matters with a single speaker of such a small size. 

I know the motion+ is an upgrade in sound quality from the charge 4 but I've also heard that the bass is lacking comparatively.

The exos-3 seems to squander both in terms of volume, but since it has only been out a relatively short time I don't know if I can trust it for being waterproof and durable in the long run.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, looking to give my girlfriend the best!

Charge 4 vs Motion+ vs Exos-3?

One sounds great. Crisp highs, clear mids, and reasonable bass out of a low frequency output. Louder than all my other portable bluetooth speakers. Exactly the quality I have come to expect from Aiwa, and perfectly satisfied

Ordered Two, One Arrived Distorted

I just bought the Aiwa Exos 9 and I think it‘s the very best in terms of powerful hifi sound. Sound is great at all volumes. And if you wanna tweak, there‘s a 5 band  onboard EQ. 👍

I guess the first thing to know is that even the best bluetooth speaker in he world isn't going to sound fantastic because the Bluetooth connection really limits the sound quality.

You should look for something with wifi, or at least LDAC which at least sounds better than normal Bluetooth.

One of the employees at Best Buy played the Sonos 5. It had good volume and good sound quality.

I do like the  UE speakers, but I like the smaller speakers in general.

Sony XB43 - not too big, not too expensive.  Very nice sound. You can get a refurb unit for about $129 US.  I got one a few weeks ago and I'm pretty happy with it.  Long battery life. You can charge your phone off it.

I currently own a JBL Boombox 2 and while it goes loud and has an incredible battery, the sound quality isn't really there for me. I want something that sounds great I really like the low volume bass and overall sound of the Harman Kardon Go+Play but it distorts on hugest volume and very bad battery life.

I'm not interested in small speakers at all I need something that sounds great and goes pretty loud any suggestions would be great thanks.

Looking for the Bluetooth speaker with best sound

  Unfortunately, despite the great speaker, I cannot use it. I will be looking for another one that has the option of disabling a loud voice that announces when a device connects or disconnects.  Alas, another failed attempt. This would be 5 stars, but I have to drop it to 2 stars
