The only other battery-powered subwoofer out there (aside from the Minirig Sub3), this thing is a dedicated 2 * 8″ ported subwoofer and all about bass-business. It hits those low notes like nothing else on this list (and better than the Teufel Rockster), but of course you need separate mid/high ends to fill it in, because it’s literally only a subwoofer.

This fact ruins the speaker for use in an ad-hoc 'dual device' situation. - The speaker does crash sometimes - I've noticed party-up mode can make the host speaker crash. No idea why this happens, and I have verified all firmware is up to date. Seems just after some time it'll just stop playing and need to be restarted.

So it seems like the market is purely saturated with sub-$100 trash and there aren't any high-end options that is a 1-speaker-to-rule-them-all kinda speaker for a high price. So, from what I know of my options, seems I should just get a versatile combo of speakers. Aiwa Exos 9, Sound Motion Boom or the Aiwa 3 would be my best options(?)

Spoiler alert... the Exos 9 sounds significantly better. I have not found a portable, battery operated speaker that comes close. It’s easy to wonder why Aiwa hasn’t updated the speaker, but honestly it just sounds ridiculously better than all of its competitors. The dynamic range is fantastic.

Hello, IMO there is no reason to search BT speaker according to stereo separation. I have Aiwa Exos-9 which has one of the best stereo separation and a bit angled mid drivers/tweeters but can confirm that I can't hear stereo separation. Maybe very very close to speaker it's possible but I don't listen that way. In single unit is stereo effect possible maybe only by some long soundbar mentioned by Photolouis.
