 However, I did find a possible reason for the difficulty other purchasers have reported.  The water supply lines were not cut cleanly nor completely straight. That is not particularly important for the standard compression fittings, but the filter unit has push-on fittings that require that the tubing is inserted completely. Because the supply line tubing cuts had small burrs and were not straight it was not possible to insert the tubing fully into the tubing connections on the filter unit

  For Aquasana: Please tighten your quality control on the supply line tubing cutter. It will avoid a lot of grief.

Read the installation instructions, got out the tools and cleaned out the under-sink cabinet. Step 1, "Attach the threaded ends of SUPPLIED brass tee..

 Then I was able to insert them completely into the tubing connections on the filter unit. When we turned the water on they were watertight. No drips.  So I would caution anyone buying this product to examine the supply tubing ends before installing the unit

 The filter had a slow leak around the filter cartridge, causing a drip. A trip to the hardware store for new rubber O rings solved the problem for a dollar. An easy fix, but one I shouldn't have had to make. Plus, if I hadn't been paying attention that little drip could have destroyed my kitchen cabinet, flooring, etc

 I'm used to my old 2-stage filter, it filled the bottle quickly (it had 3/8 inch supply tubing but I had to replace it after 20 years, the sump cracked and the replacement part is no longer available). Oh well, I will just have to learn patience.

The water filter was fairly straight forward to install, however; I thought it was 3/8" supply tubing but it turned out it has only a 1/4" supply tubing. I have 50PSI water pressure (which is over the minimum inlet pressure of 40 PSI), it still takes about three minutes to fill a half gallon bottle. Gaskets may need adjusting out of box

 I’m stuck trying to remove the old filter. Not supposed to use tools but how do I loosen it if my hands don’t have a strong grip.  Not recommended to people with arthritis.

I had my plumber install so it wasn’t until I tried to replace the filters for the first time that I learned how hard it is.   I have another filtration system under the sink which flows same as any faucet in the house - may replace with that one.  But water does taste better, so filters do work.

Cheap faucet, poor flow rate, but great tasting water

We have been using the system for two years - it was ok, but it cracked and was leaking badly when water pressure went up - better to keep the water pressure low - otherwise, it is fine. Better to replace the filters and the system altogether to avoid problems.
