 Amazon to the rescue with their stellar returns policy, but the %50 failure rate out of the box doesn't impress me.  In summary, I know this filter system will bite me in the biscuits at some point, it's just a matter of when. I've got enough technology in the house to absorb the risks and I don't really miss the bluetooth functionality (I noticed it had it after I bought it).  Update: Replaced filters and water started spraying from the filter canisters

 The units "primary" filter leaked on install, -1 star, and the installer tried to stop the leak by tightening, which resulted in a cracked housing and a stripped plastic wrench. I contacted Aquasana and told them what happened, after some back and forth they agreed to send me a new housing and wrench, good customer service, and they said 3-5 business days. After 3 weeks of nothing, I contacted them again and asked for a tracking number, 2 days later I got one. It seems they had me waiting 3 weeks for something that wasn't mailed

Going for a water filter to match the oil rubbed bronze accents of my kitchen severely affected my choices, but I went with this unit. However, there seems to be many shades of oil rubbed bronze, and as you can see in the pictures (see pictures), this faucet didn't match my Brizo faucet until I did a few coats of "oil rubbed bronze" spray paint, but it matched the cabinet handles so no score reduction there. Was hopeful that others were isolated cases of quality issues. Installed as directed but one of the filter sumps leaks at the threads as others have complained about. Called aquasana and was on hold for a half hour, had to hang up. Called back later and requested a call back from a rep, it's been hours and no call

Mine ran the 20 minute clean out cycle without leaks so I thought I was on the clear, checked an hour later and there was a puddle and can watch the water drip out of my middle filter

I purchased this filter last year and had absolutely no problems with it at first. I like the taste of the water and the flow is faster than any other filters I tried.  They are not cheap, mind you - at $75 a set - but each new set comes with a new battery too. And, sets are available at Amazon and Walmart for the exact same price. Note the difference in only 7 months between the old filters and the new (bright white) filters (last photo). It blows my mind each time I change them out how disgusting tap water really is

 It has a built-in battery alarm that notifies us when the filters need to be replaced...usually about every 6 months

 We use it to fill our pots/pans for cooking on the stove, to water our plants inside, to fill the coffee pot and tea kettle, and we even use it to refill our two 3 gallon jugs that sit atop our hot/cold water dispenser (eliminating the need for our previous water delivery service). Now, we rarely buy/use bottled water, thereby saving money and reducing waste. It has a built-in battery alarm that notifies us when the filters need to be replaced.

 3-month life for filters in light use is too short and becomes too expensive long term. There is no way the filters we used up or went bad in 3 months. We used to have a Watts Premier Pure UF-3 and are seriously considering going back to it if this new set of Aquasana filters doesn't last about 6 months under normal use.  8/20/20 update

 Color issue is permanent -1. I recommend if you can live with these 2 flaws. ------- Initial 7/20 review: The water taste is fine, although we are still debating if it tastes better than our pitcher filter. I think it does

 Filters that came with unit latest 8 months of regular use, thenflow cut down by 80%. Should have changed at 6 months, but was happily surprised it lasted 8 months. Changed the filters and after 3 months of lower use than usual the flow is back down to 80% of normal flow. Now have to install 3rd set of filters in 13 months

Functional issues are a problem.  Water seems fine.
