 Bottom line, if I was doing it over I’d definitely go for Brita with their long last filter as it appears to be superior in every way.

Indicator light holder breaks easily

 You may need to change the filter more often if your water is like mine.  The only other note is that my "change filter" indicator never worked, even right out of the box. So we've had to go by taste to know that it's time to change it. Not a huge biggie, but worth noting
