 Did some hiking, got into some steep terrain and man this thing just floats like a champ. But one of the things that I was starting to notice is like when I was in medium pitches like you know not super steep this thing was just super surfy good time fun however the steeper it got the more I got into stuff like this the more I started to realize how much I appreciate a little camber in the tail or even flat on powder boards and this continuous rocker started to feel like the only thing I had was right here between my feet. I didn't have any tail to kind of hold me on a steep turn and really spring off of it although luckily the edges held it just didn't drive and so I think I really liked it and then when I but but when I switched to a board with camber in the tail and rocker in the nose suddenly I felt like I just had a better time in the steeps and I was really enjoying myself more so I'd say that's probably the only limitation with this board and I don't know if that would be the same for everybody but I really liked that boards like I'd love to see this with a little camber in the tail and then just the same big old rocker in the nose I think it would just I like that pop off the tail with those boards and even flat boards had a little more going on than this it felt too curvy it felt too much you know I don't I don't know how to describe it but it just didn't feel like it was giving me that ollie power or that drive off the back foot later Zobo and but all in all I think this is just a nice let me give you a little flex here it's very stiff I like the arp yeah it's very stiff for a for a continuous rocker board it's one really liked it in deep snow that wasn't deep and not too steep deep and medium steep on down was great this thing's just a floaty little champ however in the steep terrain I really missed like camber somewhere in the board I don't need it all cambered but I missed some camber off the tail or some flat off the tail I felt that it could do better there but still hey it's a you know it's not not a personal favorite but man it didn't ruin my powder day by any means and so that's the Cosa Nostra

 Hi Snowboarders, JG here, SkiEssentials.com, here to talk about our 2023 board testing that we did at Stowe this past spring and I'm going to give a quick review of the Arbor Cosa Nostra. This is a new shape for them, it has the system rocker, you can see the rocker on the table here where I can spin the board where it's only contacting in the middle. This allows the board to bend and float and twist and turn on the snow with your feet and the terrain

 So yeah, really really cool shape, a little bit different than a lot of the other boards in the arbor line, definitely more directional than a lot of them and really good looking board. So, add one to your quiver, hit us up.

2023 Arbor Cosa Nostra - SkiEssentials.com Snowboard Test

 This board comes in a 153 156 159 and 162. This board comes with Arbor's system rocker So that is reverse camber starting from the center of the board all the way up to the contact points in a parabola So the aggressiveness of that reverse is more aggressive between the feet and slowly mellows out as it gets towards the contact point They also add their grip tech side cut so they use an interrupted side cut With your tri-radial side cut where the bump is created right at your feet I rode this with my K2 lean ATs and DC Tuchnees in a size 8 Rode a Keystone towards the end of March, so if you're paying attention to conditions in Colorado at all March of this past year was insane We got a ludicrous amount of snow and even towards the end of March the storms that started tapering off by then But there was still plenty of soft snow to go mine that said it meant that the groomers were back to being more normal groomers It was still really good snow, but they weren't filled with softer snow so regular groomers Trees deep snow just kind of great conditions for mid-spring. The flex on this board is your pretty traditional directional flex Softer in the nose stiffening up underfoot Vaguely softer between the feet stiffing up again throughout your back foot and then through the tail It's got a pretty easy matching torsional flex It's not abundant, but if it was then it wouldn't drive right with the full rocker system that it actually has so the torsional flex works really well in combination with the rocker profile and the tip to tail flex So overall it lands is kind of your middle-of-the-road all-mountain board with a directional flex Pushing this board fast through variable conditions wasn't really ever an issue It's got about average stability for your full rocker all-mountain style flex boards out there So really pushing through chunder and gnar if you're used to riding full camber stiff boards This is going to feel loose and it's going to feel like it's bouncing around a lot So as long as you're familiar with how to ride a full rocker board through those kinds of conditions It's as good as anything else is out there. It doesn't stand out, but it's also not bad You will get a little bit of flap out of the nose

I never really felt like it Affected its ability to hold an edge or stay on its line But you will notice that out there a little bit keep your weight a little bit more centered Don't really shift your weight outside You're kind of your center your base too much and outside your feet because full rocker if you do that You're going to disengage half the board So as long as you keep your weight a little bit more centered It's going to take care and it's going to do what you need it to do really solid snap Consistent with just about pretty much every arbor that I've ever been on despite the fact that this is full rocker It's still boosts really well. You can still load it You can still engage the middle part of the board a little bit It does lend itself a little bit more towards that skate style snap being full rocker But it always gave me everything I always needed and always had a really lively energetic feel to it Full rocker with an undemanding flex lends itself to buttering pretty much however you want it to so even Despite the fact that this is your kind of average to maybe slightly above average flex It being full rocker means you can get into the board and that torsional flex that is there allows you to spread and Just butter around a minute manipulate the board kind of however you really want to the nose is definitely a little easier to do That within the tail being a little bit softer and in soft snow
