ASUS Zenbook Flip S Review - Intel Tiger Lake Arrives!

Just want to give you guys some feedback.

So i have been using MBA for a week now. (new Mac OS user)

here are my first impressions: 

Pros: 1- Battery is insane!!! like nothing i have ever seen, you just never run out of battery no matter what you're doing.

2- software is smooth but some apps are not compatible yet for example " Discord".

3- speed: this laptop is so fast, you click and it happens, ZERO lag.

4- touch log in is nice.

5- Audio is the best i have ever heard from a laptop.

Cons: 1- Screen is too small and honestly, it's not the best i have seen! maybe bcuz of it's size, i honestly don't know but it's not wow to me.

2-  Multi tasks, this laptop is capable of running 5 apps at a time with zero lag however, 13.3 inch screen is just too small!!! if you want put two windows side by side! it's impossible to see what's happening there, therefore unless you're planning to use an external display all the time, the multi tasking capability's is limited by the screen size! unless you are okay with navigating through menus.

Final thought: i might return it and change to a 15.5 inch Windows Laptop, i don't know yet, i'm giving it couple more days.

options windows laptop are ASUS rog astrix (AMD Ryzen 9 cpu) - Lenovo legion 5 (AMD).


A week with Macbook Air feedback.

I bought on April 14, 2021 and it is a great PC, but over-priced for the reasons below I am using the laptop for work and only two issues which are show-stoppers for me: 1. with 70% screen brightness I am getting less than 6 hours battery before it goes into battery saving mode so not a full-shift device unless on external power - my old surface pro 4 lasted a full shift 2. Cannot sit the laptop on my lap - hot enough to do some damage, so that makes it a desktop, not a laptop Unit has to go back - too bad - can't imagine it will go the distance running this hot

battery/heat don't impress for the $$$

Mostly need it for school but it would be nice if it could run Kovaak's with 120 FPS.

I live in the US.

Pros: Size/weight: I bought this laptop knowing I was going to commute to and from school so I sought the most performance in the smallest package. This laptop meets that demand without breaking my wallet unlike the other brands in this tier

Prioritize performance, and easy to clean/open if possible. I would've built a desktop if i didn't have to take a laptop around for work so kind of like that.

I do game quite often, at the moment its mostly Dead by Daylight and modded Minecraft. Also used to play League of Legends and Overwatch a lot. I believe DbD uses mostly the gpu right ? And minecraft is capped by cpu (and ram for modded)


If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?


Im used to playing on low with 60 fps (dbd) and id like it to change in order to properly use my 144hz external screen.I dont ask for ultra graphics or anything but at least medium while at a stable 120-144 fps is my aim here (as well as this computer lasting me a while but its not something we can control is it)


Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?


Since ill be gaming a bunch a good keyboard would be nice but not absolutely required. I dont mind getting a lower than 144hz integrated screen because i have that external one ive mentioned earlier, which i will use for gaming.
It should also have at least two USB ports, an ethernet port, a numeric keypad (on the right of the arrow keys) and bluetooth.

Heres my current laptop specs and model Asus X550JX, CPU i7-4720HQ 2.60 Ghz, GPU Nvidia GTX 950M, 8G of RAM.

Thats why I want to use it in my new laptop, since this SSD is only a few months old.Maybe I could resell the hard drive contained in the new laptop if i cant buy one without it, not sure how to go about it this way.Id rather not waste money on a part im not gonna use.Actually maybe I should transfer the data instead ?

It should have a Displayport/HDMI port to connect it to the screen (whichever is best)

Hello I am headed to college soon and have been looking at computers that run Microsoft. I know next to nothing about laptops so it has been hard. The reason I am posting in this forum though is because I want a solid work computer that I will be able to run both squad and war of rights on.  I am only looking for recommendations of good work computers that are powerful enough to run these games well. I don’t want gaming laptop recommendations! I’ve been interested in the surface book 3 but I’ve been told it doesn’t have strong specs. My budget is $2000 and less. Direct links to Best Buy are appreciated!
