New setup in the living room.

 Maybe the only thing that needed more guidance was the balancing of the tone arm and the anti-skate. Everything else was straightforward. I was able to do all this with just the manual. Keep in mind, this is the first time I've ever set up a TT

 There's not enough space to add that, it would have been nice to not have to rush back to lift the tone arm once a record is done playing. But you kind of know that going into this purchase that this is a fully manual turntable, can't really complain.  My current setup is AT-LPW40WN, iFi Zen Phono, Edifier R1280DBs.  As a first time TT owner, I'd have to say the decision process was the hardest part

 Pro-Ject TTs were on the top of my list, however the price, while I can afford it, do I really want to spend that much on my first go at this hobby? My wife would've probably killed me. We're down to Drop+AT VTA. I was ready to buy one, however they increased the price overnight to $400. While I liked the entire package, I didn't appreciate the price increase

 So called "audiophiles" would explode hearing that. But they're not really the clientele this TT is going after. At this price point, there's a lot of value here in terms of sound, looks, specs and functionality. The AT-LPW40WN is a nice turntable that is not too entry level, and has some room (not a lot) of upgradeability for people to tinker with in the future, such as, different VM95 series cartridge, mats, stabilizers

My first turntable and I'm glad I went with this

 A better value is the [Fluance RT82](https://www.fluance.com/rt82t-reference-high-fidelity-vinyl-turntable-black-gloss) $299 that adds auto stop. Pass on the older RT80 and RT81 that lack the new speed sensor that the RT82 has for low wow and flutter and low speed variation

I’m torn between these two turntables because I love the aesthetic of  AT-LPW40WN however the AT-LP60XBT is a great deal for its price. Anyone have experience with these models and advice? Appreciate it!

HELP: choosing between AT-LPW40WN and AT-LP60XBT

Great turntable! Easy to set up, very quiet, built in phono pre-amp, nice tone arm. The included VM95E cartridge sounds great to my ears. Almost perfect! I have 2 very small point of contention. 1

 The power on/off switch is on the back, so you have to reach over the top to flip it. That was also an easy fix, I just bought a smart outlet for $15, now I just say “Alexa, record player on”. I will be upgrading at some point, but not because of any failings on the part of this TT. Audio Technica, though, has failed to provide any fully automatic options above the LP3

Great turntable

 The turntable has an anti-skate force adjustment. This small outward force is applied to the tonearm to compensate for the natural skating force that pulls the tonearm toward the center of the record. For best performance, during normal turntable operation, set the anti-skate adjustment to the same value as the cartridge tracking force. For best performance, the turntable should be level

Meets the need

I’m using a Audio technica Lpw40wn and it’s performance for such a cheap turntable is pretty astounding. I’ve been happy for the few months I’ve been into this.

Modern/Vintage setup is finally complete

Easy to set up but I didn’t even try it with the cartridge that it came with. Probably would be fine but I was looking for a home for a Shure M97xe I had and this is really a great sounding rig!

Great bang for your buck

 I think an $800 turntable would be a bit much. But I'm really happy with this one. It's very well made, worked great out of the box, no problems to report here. Love the sound, very clean even with that stock VM95E cartridge on it

, which might not sound like a whole lot of money for a turntable. And it's not, but you certainly get a lot of turntable for your money. Audio-Technica has definitely upped their game. So here's a quick tour

 The turntable comes with the ATVM95E cartridge. Now at first I didn't like these cartridges and then I started playing around with them and I started liking them. And I already have another one here as you can see. I got it out just to show
