My husband and I are experiencing pretty significant discomfort from our avocado green mattress. I can't figure out why this is always happening to us in such short periods of time. We are regular sized people (120 and 150 lbs.) We don't use a box spring, but we have a foundation that is supposedly fine to use (according to the manufacturers) with all kinds of mattresses and shouldn't cause sagging.

I bought my first mattress after being given a "gift" mattress from in laws that was "like new" upon moving into my first house. We got an Avocado Green in August with no topper. I had a similar early experience: very firm, lots of back and neck pain (the extra support they put in the middle made me feel like I was being broken on the rack), and latex definitely took some getting used to. For me, the mattress definitely needs a topper.

2. Birch by Helix- was going to buy the Avocado and was doing a bit more searching for comps to ensure the price was reasonable enough. I've seen a lot of people sing Helix's praises on this board lately, so I feel like this isn't a bad option.
