 The entire body is wrapped in a soft touch, silicone material. That'S got a really nice smooth feel the speaker. Grille takes up the majority of the front panel with a Bose logo at the top. Around back is another grille for the rear facing passive radiator and a more subtle Bose logo

 I tested this speaker at 87 decibels. The JBL charged 3 achieved 90 decibels. The speaker can easily fill a small room and it does a decent job with medium to large sized rooms, and it doesn't distort at full blast. Here

 The top panel also has a mic to use for voice calls so Bose added a speakerphone, a feature that was missing on the original performance was pretty average call. Otherwise, pairing through bluetooth is fast and simple. The speaker will remember up to eight paired devices and you could connect two devices at the same time and quickly switch between the two without having to pair on pair. So you can pause playback on one device and resume on another

 Now the mid-range frequencies here and vocal clarity is done very well here. Even at maximum volume, the audio is still clear and clean, offering an easy listening experience. Now, even the highs at maximum bottom again remains intact and doesn't distort now. The one thing that i did find a little missing here and it's common on bluetooth

 Here it sounds like a model speaker here on the soundlink color. Now, overall, for my personal assessment, i enjoy the speaker, though it's great for personal enjoyment. Hello, I'm from Germany (if that matters in any way)

I'm mostly listening indoors and to Hip-Hop, Electronic, Rock, and Pop but other genre may also find their niche into my playlists occasionally.

I don't really have a preferred place for listening. However, it is also important to me that I can listen to music that isn't completely tuned-up (love the sleeping timer on Spotify)

I'm currently between JBL Charge 5, Sony Xb43, Teufel Rockster Cross (if I can get a deal on it), Dockin Fine+ 2 and Soundcore Motion+ but I'm more than open to any new suggestions.

Would love to have an aux-cable and IP67 since I would like to use it in- and outside - but ofc I'm aware I most likely will need to make some sacrifices along the way. It's not my highest priority but if I had to choose, I would prefer aux over IPXX.

Hope some of you can help me!

Edit: Just realized I should probably add my focus in music. I mainly want my music to be clear and a "whole picture" if you can understand me. I don't need the loudest box available. It's mostly for myself

 I’m a former Bose employee and own many Bose products, but this product falls short. The sound is quality good, but the volume is weak.  When you get this, I mean it makes sense. Of course, getting a you know. It'S more expensive as a 2nd generation, but really you're getting but you're really getting. The great sounds that came along with the original Bose Soundlink color and in addition to that you're getting the ability to answer your phone calls through here, you're getting that water resistant feature

 This pretty much concludes my review of the Bose Soundlink color.  Here we do have a micro USB cable, so it is micro USB to USB 2.0 for charging of course, and that is it that's everything in the box. So one thing that you're going to keep in mind is that there is no wall. Adapter that comes with this

So, in order to charge this thing, you're going to have to either connect it to your computer or if you have your own wall, adapter USB wall, adapter you'll plug into that peel. The plastic off here pull this out and I will say that this color is pretty awesome, pretty crisp nice crisp kind of a coral red color. So let's now go over the exterior of the device

Bose SoundLink Color II - Complete Review!

The Bose SoundLink Color II is the worst sounding speaker out of all of those but it's the best combination of portability, durability, and decent sound quality. The Sony XB33 is the best sounding speaker out of your choices but it's also the largest and heaviest one. The JBL Charge 3 is somewhere in the middle between the SoundLink Color II and XB33 in terms of sound quality but its relatively big size doesn't match the sound quality it outputs, especially at higher volumes.

Do not get the JBL charge 3, It's quite a bit outdated, I suggest getting the Sony XB33, but keep in mind, it does not have an audio jack.

I've had a Bose SoundLink 1 for over 5 years and love it, but now that it's having charging and connectivity issues I'm looking to replace it. I ordered a Sony SRS-XB23, but am disappointed in the sound quality. Even after fiddling with the EQ settings, it just doesn't have the same fullness of the SoundLink, so I'll probably return it and move up a tier.  


I've narrowed it down to 3 similarly priced (\~$100-130) options: SoundLink Color II, JBL Charge 3, or Sony SRS-XB33. Which would you recommend?
