The Bose SoundLink Flex is the best Bluetooth shower speaker we've tested for bass. While you can't customize its sound profile like the Ultimate Ears MEGABOOM 3, it can produce a more extended low-bass out-of-the-box. This portable speaker is very well-built with an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance that certifies it to be dust-proof and immersible in up to a meter of water for 30 minutes. The manufacturer even says it can float in water and comes with a small built-in carrying strap you can use to hang it somewhere in your shower.

Its sound profile is neutral with a touch of extra warmth and boom in the high-bass range, making it suitable for listening to a wide variety of audio content. It also supports Google Assistant and Siri through your smartphone and does an excellent job of understanding your commands in noisy rooms, which is good if you want it to hear you over the noise of the water in your shower.

Unfortunately, like most speakers its size, it still struggles to reproduce the deep thump and rumble in low-bass that's typically present in bass-heavy music like EDM and hip-hop. It also has to downmix stereo content to mono which isn't as immersive. If you're looking for a portable speaker to bring along with you in the shower that can produce a more extended low-bass, it's still a good choice.

Looking for something a bit more affordable? While the Bose SoundLink Flex doesn't have customization features like a graphic EQ or presets to adjust its sound to your liking, this well-built speaker can produce a more extended low-bass out-of-the-box. It's rated IP67, meaning it's dust tight and immersible in a meter of water for 30 minutes, and there's a small strap built-in you can use to hook it somewhere in your shower. If any soap accidentally gets on the speaker, you can then rinse it off with fresh water.

 They sound like real speakers and indeed can fill a decent sized living room with sound. I should also note that you can link up the flex with other bose speakers in party mode. In other words, you can mix and match, but to get stereo sound you'll need another flex. I'Ll finish by saying that pricing for bluetooth speakers has been a little weird

 One thing: that's missing is an audio input, so you can't connect an audio device via an auxiliary cable. This is strictly a bluetooth speaker, bose's soundlink micro also delivers impressive, sound for its tiny size. This does feel like it's in the same family, but is almost twice as big weighing just over a pound or 0.45 kilograms, and it sounds significantly better than the micro with better battery life

 When you pair two flexes together in stereo mode, i felt the same way about the sonos roam. You just get real stereo separation and both the sound stage and bass seem so much bigger as a pair. They sound like real speakers and indeed can fill a decent sized living room with sound. I should also note that you can link up the flex with other bose speakers in party mode

 it still indicates 100%. I'll update this is I find out battery life stays at 100% until it can't turn on. Bluetooth connection range is very good (30 ft+), and will auto-reconnect when back in range (but you need to ask to play music again). Sound is very good (and clear) at low volume

Bose SoundLink Flex - My New Favorite Travel Bluetooth Speaker!

Bose Soundlink Micro is just Bluetooth, not HomeKit or AirPlay. My daughter uses one in the shower. Their Smart Speaker line has AirPlay, and the Portable is battery powered and water resistant, but a bit overkill for the shower.

Amazon and Walmart list battery-operated, waterproof speakers like the Bose Soundlink Micro and some by JBL as HomeKit-enabled. Is this legit? Has anyone added these to their home setup through the Home app? How would you go about doing it?

Battery Powered Airplay Speakers?

 Before I had the volume level on low because I use it at night when I'm listening to YouTube while my hubby sleeps beside me. I will be returning it. Now, I have to find another speaker.

The sound volume was awesome, at first! Then after 2 months of great performance, the sound volume failed. In other words, I had to put the volume on high in order to achieve the volume level I was used to getting from this Bluetooth speaker. Before I had the volume level on low because I use it at night when I'm listening to YouTube while my hubby sleeps beside me. I will be returning it

We are reviewing the brand new soundlink flex by bose this guy right here in the smoke white color and honestly, i'm really excited for this one, because this is kind of a mid-range bluetooth speaker in terms of its pricing, and i really want to see how bose Does because they are known to make some really well balanced products with that said, it's worth noting that this speaker retails for about 150 usd and it is available in three distinct colors.  It can fill up any room easily, no matter what volume percentage you're at there's practically no distortion, some things that are holding this machine back or this device shall, i say, include the fact that you can only keep it in a horizontal position. So there's no vertical standing, which would have been nice and the lack of an auxiliary jack is a bit of a cheap skate move by bose. But again the high quality features of this device. Bose SoundLink Flex Speaker Review and Sound Test

I have been using the Bose Soundlink Flex Bluetooth Speaker for a while now. One of my favorite things is that it can connect to multiple bluetooth sources at one time and each time I turn the speaker on it tells me the source it is connected to OR when the source reconnects to it after it is turned on. 

One thing I don't like about the speaker is that when pushed up against something, the sound becomes muffled but more so because its like the speaker is hitting something even though it is covered by the shell of the product.

I really enjoy how crisp the sound is with this speaker and the level it can get to without having to have it turnt all the way up. Overall, I am very pleased with this product and would say it lives up to the BOSE brand name.
