 So if you're on V1 or you want sorry and then you want to move that to a different patch number, you hit them both together, exchange it for what number you want and you're good to go. You can pretty much change everything in anything here. A lot of on the fly can be done while you're playing by literally just hitting one of the sort of like a few changeable buttons here, but other than that, like you can go really in depth and really change every aspect of the sound if you really want to. I Found a lot of the user presets were already pretty good and we're already around what I was expecting to set up and they worked for a lot of the songs that I was going through at the time I sent made a few changes

[DISCUSSION] your looper pedal experience

 I just wanted a multi-effects pedal to make simple sound changes during performances. A bunch of stomp boxes in one. This pedal is apparently more geared towards creating and tweaking components of the audio to get a very specific sound. That’s an awesome feature, and this product’s functionality appears to accomplish this quite well, but I don’t need to do that

Great pedal, but too smart for me

 So I'm going to take you through the interface of the BOSS GT1 now, and show you just how easy it is to customise your sound. So if I go to this memory edit, you can see the signal chain here, I've got everything from the preamp overdrive to effects, and the signal chain has different delays and reverbs which are all assignable here as well. So if I go to effects 1, I've set up a phaser in the control here, by setting it before the preamp, it's a lot more full on, a lot more devastating, so if I show you what it sounds like, I can then move it to after the preamp, and it's not as full on. So it allows for ultimate customisation of your tone

 This serves two purposes. The first is a USB interface. So you can actually use the tones from the Boss GT1 directly into your recording software and use all of the tones that you've created. Secondly it allows you to log on to the Boss Tone Central website and download artist presets from their libraries into the unit so you can use them for your own gigs or purposes

 So that is one of many programmable effects that you can change and add into the control or assign to the expression pedal, and funnily enough there is on the back of the unit there's an out for more expression pedals, with another expression pedal I should say, and another control as well, so allowing maximum customisation of your sound. So another feature that I'd like to touch on is the USB interface in the back of the unit. This serves two purposes. The first is a USB interface

Get something like a multi effects pedal, like a Boss or Zoom, I have the Boss GT-1, and the line out can go in to a audio interface or use headphones. They all have amp and speaker simulation, and tons of effects.

I am looking for an amp or amp alternative for indoor practicing. I've had a friend tell me that a preamp plugged into a computer with headphone works and I've had another recommend I just play quietly on a tube amp. I don't currently have a roommate Nd I live in a condo. I typically play alone. A lot of my friends play instruments but they never invite me to jam and I am hoping to practice Moree. Sorry for the stupid question.

[QUESTION] what is best for indoor electric guitar playing?

 Also looper function is not super convenient, but is still nice to have. Compared to my old zoom pedal this does not have any drum machine function, but does allow you change the order that the effects are arranged in (i.e. can change the order so that its OD -> FX1 -> guitar or FX1 -> OD -> guitar)  Overall 4 stars because of some minor annoyances and problems, but very sturyd, well designed pedal with tons of options for the price

 There are very few presets available and there is not a community webpage where people can uplaod presets which is unfortunate. Volume pedal seems good and responsive so far after about 3 months, but occassionally does squeak upon pressing it down.  one aesthetic con that annoys me is that there is no off switch. I dont want to leave my pedal on all the time so i constantly have to unplug the power source from the pedal which is annoying

Moving into overdrive and distortion, overdrive distortion, there's classic distortions in here, there's modern distortions and everything in between. Amp modellers as well, when you get a preamp, you can have some classic legendary amp tones, going from classic rock to blues to punk to metal, and again, everything in between, including some classic Boss amplifiers like the JC series. Moving on to the effects that go after the preamp, there's modulations, delays, reverbs, all nice laid out on the front, and you literally just turn them on and off, like so, and that turns on whatever's already in that parameter, and if you want to change something, all you do is hold down the button, and the screen changes from the preset name to the effect that it's on, like overdrive, just there

 Couple more guitar tones. Oh, Van Flange. We all know that's going to be RIP Ed. The flange might be too intense for some, some of those lines, but

So these three buttons here control everything in the GT1. Left controls the type of effect you want, this is the drive, and this is the level, obviously that will change parameters with whatever effect you use, like modulation, like your rate and depth, that kind of thing
