If you want an even smaller kit, the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV is a tad pricier out of the gate but gets you smaller and cheaper Micro Four Thirds lenses with plenty of options to choose from. It also has in-body image stabilization to get clear handheld shots at slower shutter speeds. If you don't mind the smaller sensor, it's an excellent alternative for photographers on a budget.

If you're on an even tighter budget, you won't find a more affordable mirrorless camera than the Canon EOS M50 Mark II (short of buying a camera secondhand). This portable APS-C option offers a ton of value for its price and makes for a great entry point into the world of mirrorless cameras.

The only reason I could see to still buy EF-M lenses would be how small and lightweight they are. And if you choose to go that route, then in my opinion, the best lens is the Canon 32mm f1

 And then lastly, we have program mode. Basically, it's still fully automatic but you can change the exposure from darker to brighter with a press of the shutter speed button. Now we're going to take a couple of sample pictures and we're going to bring in our test subject which is a old Kodak Instamatic camera to unlock the full potential of manual mode. We're going to hit the Q right here at the bottom of the screen and from here we can change our shutter speed, our aperture and our ISO

 So basically you buy M50 Mark II with kit lens, you add 32mm universal nice prime lens 1.4, you can see some of the pictures that I took with all my kids that I took with that lens. It is a really nice lens for portrait photography, food, whatever lifestyle use or low light use you may think of, then you have a beautiful, small, compact setup in your bag that you can travel around the world, you can vlog, you can record videos, you can take photos of your family, of some, I don't know, objects, food, whatever you are up for, whatever you want to use it for, you have a nice camera in your bag, for example, to run your YouTube channel, to run, to basically, I don't know, enjoy photography, whatever and very important feature of the camera is the price. So having said that, all of that, you have some limitations like this crop factor, which is to me the worst part of it, but you get it at a very good price

 And there is some, of course, truth in that and I can agree to that opinion and that's also right. So you may want to choose RP over M50, however, having said that, consider one thing that all full frame lenses, because RF system is only full frame right now. I know that Canon is working on APS-C crop sensor for that system, but all lenses for now, for the time of recording of the video, are designed for full frame and are way bigger, way more heavy, way heavier and basically way less convenient. So if you want something convenient that fits in your bag or even pocket, hardly, but in your bag or just it's not a problem to carry this thing in your hand, then you really are looking at APS-C systems or crop systems or micro four thirds, I'm not very much into it, but you're looking at some smaller sensor sizes because the lenses for those systems are by nature smaller and lighter

 I take a lot of photos of my animals (I keep and breed reptiles) and being able to represent them accurately is important. This camera does a good job. The kit lens is really nice as well, it focuses quickly and takes nice sharp photos. Using an adapter I'm able to use my EF and EFS lenses with this camera as well which is always a huge plus

Canon really put some thought into how they can make this camera better than the predecessor, the EOS M50
