If you don’t have a large budget, the Canon M5 is an average choice, but I’d say the best camera is what you might already have, perhaps start by filming from your phone then look at upgrading after learning what you currently limited by?. Contrary to what some others have posted, 4K isn’t always necessary if you’re posting on social media, I’ve been shooting social content for companies for a few years and they never require 4K, nor do I advise it, obviously it would be better if you could, but it’s not a requirement of making good content.

It's an OK camera, but not one I'd suggest for films, as it was the last generation before Canon came out with the DPAF autofocus, which revolutionized the ability to use accurate autofocus during video. I would seek out a model that has DPAF--the next in the lightweight series, the 200D, has this, as do the 70D, 800D, & 77D. You could also look at the EOS M5, M6, and M50--if you're primarily going to be shooting video, mirrorless has some advantages, like the ability to easily use converted vintage lenses and use speedboosters.
