Canyon Endurace, hands down. I am against the very notion of "beginner", "entry level" or "starter" items, regardless of the type - that just means in the future you will be buying a "real" item and all the resources and time you've spent on something inferior will be wasted. Not to mention, it just won't be as fun as quality right off the bat.

I own an Endurace CF SLX 8.0. It's a very good bike that I bought at a good price. BUT Canyon's support is severely lacking. My issues have been small ( through-axle lever and headset collar) and I fear what would happen if I have a major issue requiring frame replacement.

So the Canyon CF 8.0 SL seems like a hell of a good deal for €3K, At the moment I ride a Canyon Endurace CF 7.0 and I absolutely love how it rides: smooth, quick acceleration, comfortable, light(ish). So my experience so far with Canyon has been really good.

\- I find the 'dark lake' colour less nice. Overall a solid bike, with a great price/quality level.

It’s also a bike which to my knowledge has had issues with bottom bracket creaking. You can get a brand new carbon bike for $2000 so I don’t get why you’d look for something that old necessarily? Carbon doesn’t always translate to light, depending on the whole system weight.

I am able to ride hills in New England with this bike that I couldn’t come close to riding with my previous bike and set up, even when I was in my late 40s. Make the switch! You will never look back.
