 The top sheet also looks really good on this guy and it's actually an ash wood top sheet so that's going to act as another structural layer giving the board a little bit more rigidity more stability more pop. This board's also got a really cool shape and camber profile so from the front insert pack all the way down out to the tail it's full camber with just a little bit of rocker in the nose and it also has a directional shape so outside the contact points which is the widest point on the snowboard outside the contact points which is the widest point on the nose and the tail the nose is going to be a little bit longer than the tail so that's going to help poke that nose up out of powder it also has a slight taper so just a little bit of a skinnier tail the nose as well as a slightly setback stance so all those things combined are going to help give this board a little bit more powder performance while still being very freestyle friendly. The flex is definitely on the stiffer side of medium I'd rate this guy right around a 6 out of 10 and it's got a very lively feel to it I'm feeling everything underfoot going through these trees going through choppy terrain it's not very damp but the board holds energy very well so it's actually a really poppy snowboard and it's really fun for butters too it's not too stiff that you can't get into a press you can get a decent press on it and then it offers loads of pop on the way out definitely above average pop on this guy. It's kind of firm and icy out here today underneath the fresh snow but I went ahead and did some park laps anyway and this guy is a lot of fun in the park I'd say it's definitely a little bit more jump oriented than jib focused got loads of pop and stability for jumps but it's still fun on the jibs too it's sliding really really smooth on the rails and I think I was even able to get a decent press on it

 Hey what's up guys TJ here out riding at Breckenridge today and I'm going to be talking about the Capita Kazoo Kokobo Pro model snowboard. The first thing I noticed when I picked up the Kazoo Kokobo Pro is that it's a really really lightweight snowboard so that just helps you to whip it around a little bit make it a little bit more nimble and maneuverable and it's also got one of the best looking base graphics out right now and not only is the base really good looking but it's also a super fast centered base it's really really fast out here today on this fresh snow and it even comes with some structure in the base so that just helps get that water from the front of the board to the back of the board that much faster helping you keep your speed and pick up speed. To end the day I decided to take a lap through the Narnia trees actually where I'm at right now and the Kazoo did pretty good in the trees it's not the most nimble snowboard I'm on the 157 today but it's still going really fast feeling really smooth out here definitely a fun board to take in the trees if that's what you want to do. I've been having a really fun time out here on the Kazoo today regardless of where I've taken it it's performed really well it's going to offer some float and powder it's going to provide tons of speed and stability for you whether you want to take it in the park hit some jumps hit some rails take it through the trees or just carve up some groomers the Kazoo Kokobo is just an all-mountain killer so if that sounds like you check out this snowboard thanks for watching guys I'll see you next time

 Now. What's the one thing we both complained about the Finish phase of the turn of the edge the edge the edge hold Yeah, cuz it locks and loads but there's just some points in the of the edge hold where it doesn't do where it gives away It just let's go no matter what no matter what kind of trickery you can't really like no matter what kind of torsional trickery You use it just let's go. So you got to just like be lighter on your feet Like the finish phase of the turn before you change edges and that's how I felt like with almost every capital board I just feel like the edges just never want to every time we got into a critical situation in steeps And we hit that hard snow. It didn't grab and go through it just slid out

 Timbo! Kazufu! So here we are Lucky enough to get the Capita Kazu Pro 157 You know, I just rode the 2017 a few weeks before and we were lucky enough to get the 2018 demo Thanks Capita. You know, it might sound weird to you, but we're doing a little time traveling here. We review Yeah, we're reviewing 18 and 17 and this Kazu Pro Is the really now that I kind of got used to its personality of the 17 17 really surprised me I thought it was going to be this kind of like more tapered kind of surfy freeride board like kind of maybe like a few years back like the BSOD was or Like, you know kind of like in the realm of like some of our favorites like the yes pick your line and other things like that But it really changed it really surprised us when we got out on this you can see It really doesn't feel like a tapered directional freeride board and take a look at the on the table review with the camber profile It's it's basically camber from the tail to pass the to pass the front binding and then rocker in the nose here But and then there's a you know, there's a bit of a taper on the tail But other than that it kind of looks like a twin doesn't it? I'm kind of rode like a twin and it's not it's not that set back and it was pretty buttery and poppy and playful But it also liked a straight line and charge and it turned pretty quick and the last time I was riding the Kazu I was riding it with Adidas Samba or Or the superstar which weren't very responsive boots and now that I got it paired With the Adidas tactical ADV which are a great fit for this with my Union Atlas I noticed that the response is better. It's kind of like wouldn't you say it's like medium quick

Capita Kazu Pro 2018 Review

 It's a bit too stiff with the 6 out of 10 flex for a beginner. And given that it's got a setback stance, meaning the nose is longer than the tail, I wouldn't recommend it for a dedicated jib board. But for somebody who's looking for that all mountain board that they can take everywhere, it's definitely fun to lap this through the park, especially on the jumps. It's really going to shine there

 This board is definitely for the aggressive, very high level intermediate to advanced and expert level rider. It is a stiff board. It is designed to go fast. When it's on edge, it rails a turn

 But for somebody who's looking for that all mountain board that they can take everywhere, it's definitely fun to lap this through the park, especially on the jumps. It's really going to shine there. This board is definitely for the aggressive, very high level intermediate to advanced and expert level rider. It is a stiff board

 I'll say it wasn't the greatest that I've ever experienced, partially due to the camber profile being resort alpine. So given that little bit of upwards curve at the nose and tail, it was a bit washy. I was still able to get great edge hold on the groomers, but I wasn't able to push it as hard as a traditional full camber board just because of that profile. That being said, that profile will allow you to really float through powder

2022 CAPiTA Kazu Kokubo Pro Snowboard Review | Curated

 Starting a turn is very smooth and easy, edge holds good throughout the whole turn and I'm guessing that the small amount of taper is helping to add to that feel. Even riding switch in a heel side turn jumping around to toe side felt nice. The capita say it has a flex rating of 6.5 out of 10, and that seemed to be pretty close to what I felt

 Without getting too technical, it's one of the more expensive Capita boards, so there are plenty of features which they put in to justify the price. The core has a bunch of bamboo in it, there's some carbon bits, and it has a fast sintered base. The board I was riding had nice sharp edges, and had just been waxed. As an overall guide, it rides like a camber board, which is a good thing

 The traditional camber is there to give it a solid and stable feel. Good edge hold and pop. I rode this at Mount Hotham in Victoria Australia, as well as Nizawa Onsen and Hakuba in Japan I rode the 157cm model, with mid flexing Solomon District bindings, set up with a stance width of 22.5 inches, with my front foot at 12 degrees and my back foot at negative 9, which is the same setup I ride on pretty much every board

 It was quick edge to edge and had a very smooth feeling. That impression stayed, and the more I rode it in Japan the more that seemed to be true. Unfortunately we didn't get lucky with the weather, and I wasn't able to film riding in much deep snow, so this review is mostly based on riding in hard, springy and slushy conditions. I'm going to talk about how the camber profile feels, how stable it is at speed, the edge hold, the pop and the flex

 I have one of the winners here, the Capita Kazoo Kokobo Pro. The profile of this board is going to be camber and then a little bit of early rise going up into the nose. CAPiTA Kazu Kokubo Pro Review: Men’s All-Mountain Winner – Good Wood Snowboard Test 2018-2019

 First of all, I think the 157W (11.5 Rome Libertine boots) was probably shorter than I'd ride this board if I bought it, because of that I think I don't have necessarily the most accurate perception of its flex. That being said, even in a size a tad short for me this thing was an absolute tank at speed on-trail and when I say "at speed" I really mean it, this base is one of the fastest I've ever ridden. The top-end speed the BSOD offers and it's flat-to-rocker section in the tail allowed me to boost rollers and cat tracks, unlike many boards I've ridden before

 It was super stiff and you could tell the board just wanted to go fast. It was great on the steep runs and absolutely crushed the groomers. I would recommend this board to any advanced rider or better who likes to go fast.
