 You will notice the first layer and then there are two two layers here in different shade right and then finally this bottom support layer. Now this is uh rated, uh 12 inches and uh some. Let's put this back so the top. if you get this dirty, you can actually take this to wash and you can just un-sip it

So I guess uh, people are right. this uh, Casper Select is actually the original Casper and I think by looking at the foam layers, this confirms that it is a Casper original

I bought a Casper Select from Costco and did a quick show and tell. Is it the same as original?

We got a queen size Casper Select Hybrid and love it! We hated mattress shipping, it felt like such a huge gamble and commitment. But then when we learned Costco has mattresses, we felt comfortable buying from Costco because of their return policy - better than any return policy we were looking at from any mattress company.

Have you bought a Costco mattress?

 The original is somewhere around 1100 US dollars while the element is around 600. So we got this one for almost 480 on a coupon. This is a foam mattress says four layer breathable top layer pressure relieving memory foam zone support for spine alignment and comes with a 10 year limited warranty. Here we can see a cut section of the mattress

 So far seems good, but yes, cannot say anything unless it's fully inflated. So this is how it looks after almost a month of usage and no problem so far with the shape and comfort. So it has like a softer top layer and the firm bottom layer just for the side sleepers so that they don't create the pressure points and stuff. It's been good so far

 So the Casper Select, whether you buy it at Costco or order online from Costco.com, it is a bed in a box mattress. You're going to bring it to your house or have it delivered to your house in a cardboard box. Super easy to unbox though

 You sink in a little bit, but it's not too hard to move around. Lastly, if you want an affordable mattress and you have a Costco membership, this is going to be a great deal for you. But speaking of cons, probably not the best option if you are a strict stomach sleeper. It's seven out of 10, so you want something a little bit firmer if you just sleep on your stomach

 But let's speak specifically about sleeping positions. Starting off on my back, it is a great match for me. With that zoning, extra lumbar support, my spine is in good neutral alignment.  Motion transfer means when you're lying down on one side of the mattress, your partner moves around on the other side. Are you going to feel that motion or not? Edge support means you're sitting or lying down at the edge of a mattress. Do you feel secure and working to roll off and onto the floor? Speaking of motion transfer, it actually handles it pretty well. I used a glass of water to test it out

Wife and I have had the costco casper select king for just under 2 years. Noticed within the last 6-8 months, it seems like the top comfort layers of foam broke down significantly.

It’s time to buy a new mattress. I noticed fairly reasonably priced mattresses in the Costco warehouse, as well as a broad selection of mattresses online. I’m considering buying one because Costco has such a great return policy, and it seems difficult to judge mattress quality unless you carefully compare specs and then sleep on the mattress for a month. 

One other note- my wife is skeptical. She likely correctly thinks that many of the mattresses at Costco might be lower quality versions (e.g. Casper has a cheaper model at Costco). 

Anyone have particularly positive/negative experiences buying a mattress at Costco? If so, can you recommend any particular brands? I’m just looking for something that won’t breakdown in two years. Thank you!

Costco Mattresses?

5 out of 10 on our scale which is medium firm best for back and stomach sleepers. But we also want to see how well this bed responds to your movements using this lacrosse ball. So as I bounce it on the floor you see it comes right back up to me now let's try this on the mattress surface. So we're getting some great bounce here we don't expect this type of bounce with an all-foam mattress so if you're a combination sleeper you should have a pretty easy time moving around on this bed
