 It's RGB make your gaming experience I don't know why it says stuff like that on the back side. There's a quick little look at the software You can use to control this thing and program all the LEDs to your heart's content I'm what I'm gonna do now is get inside of it. So first thing to say is yeah, it has an aluminum top Plastic bottom with flippy outtie feet one position I don't know if you can quite tell from the The overhead view but these sides flare out a little bit. You can see that probably better here So kind of got this flared out edge thing going on this is kind of reminiscent of Other keyboards. I'm curious to know what kind of hardware some of y'all have that wouldn't be found in the average setup.

Alongside my primary 1440p/144hz monitor, I also have two mid 2000s 1024p/74hz 4:3 Dell monitors that my brother got to keep from his job in the computer lab on our college campus at the time when they got newer equipment.

They certainly aren't the best by today's standards, but they still do wonders for keeping my primary monitor free of clutter, especially when I'm doing something in any Adobe program that benefits from more screen space (especially After Effects).

What do you consider to be the most unique part of your setup?

Don't get me wrong, the keyboard *functions*. But now some of the keys - Insert, Delete, End, and the Up, Down, and Left arrow keys - all constantly have a very, very faint green tinge. The LED for each of these keys is stuck at having the Green setting at the very lowest setting all the time, regardless of whether or not I have it on for the rest of the keys. It's barely noticeable when any of my other settings are on, but I often prefer to leave the LEDs off, and this is an unavoidable distraction

 Now let's discuss a few things that I think Cooler Master could improve on, and that's mostly in their software bundle. Initially opening up the software, it looks pretty straightforward and easy to use, which it is, but there's some strange glitches here and there where presets don't seem to save correctly or I accidentally override another preset, not realizing that that's what's happened until way later down the line, and it can be a little frustrating. But once you create a few lighting presets that you really like, export and save the settings to your desktop so you can always revert back to them if you mess something up and you're all set. So by now I'm sure everybody's seen what an RGB capable keyboard can display with various settings and presets that come loaded on the keyboard

 It's pretty simple to use, but keys will tend to fly over the place as you're pulling them out. The Gateron switch uses the same cross pattern as Cherry MX switches do, so you have a vast variety of custom keycaps to use with the Gateron switch. Now these keycaps are pretty loud as they make contact with the aluminum surface of the keyboard. So I'm going to do a sound test, one up close, and one from far away so you know what others in your household are going to be hearing

 However, there are various online retailers that sell rubber o-rings to help dampen the sound, and I'll list a few of those in the description below. One downside to using these o-rings is it will sometimes make a mechanical keyboard feel just like a membrane keyboard, and a lot of people don't prefer the feeling that it gives during each key press. Now let's discuss a few things that I think Cooler Master could improve on, and that's mostly in their software bundle. Initially opening up the software, it looks pretty straightforward and easy to use, which it is, but there's some strange glitches here and there where presets don't seem to save correctly or I accidentally override another preset, not realizing that that's what's happened until way later down the line, and it can be a little frustrating

 The sturdy brushed aluminum material used on the top of the keyboard adds a nice sense of durability, and that it's gonna last. And it's pretty easy to clean too. So right out of the box, they give you a small instruction sheet describing how to save your presets, change your lighting modes, etc. etc

Gateron Red Better Than Cherry MX Red??? Cooler Master CK552 Mechanical Keyboard Review!

So I bought this in February of this year and its now September. I do use it daily and I do have a messy work environment, however im surprised the leds seem to decide to turn off on some keys for days at a time. Beyond that the macros glitch and go off on there own (I dont use them at all but when I use the CM button and the Macro (-) key (F12) it clears it and it wont glitch again until next week. It seems to be ok build quality but not all that reliable

Some of the lights seem to stop working and it glitches at times

 I have primarily used blue switches in the past which are typically considered to be better for typing, but these Gateron red switches are so light and soft that I do enjoy typing on them as well. I also think that for the price that the CK552 and CK552 come in at, that's 79.99 and 89.99 respectively, both options offer really good value when compared to the competition

Cooler Master CK552 Review (Best Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Under $100?)

works well, however keystroke discrepancies noticed

 I'm not going to go through them all, but there's plenty of options when it comes to customizing the lighting on this keyboard, which is nice, and you don't have to use any software again. If you don't want to, you can do it right on the keyboard here with the hotkeys. So as far as this keyboard goes, I'd say it's a pretty solid option. You've got RGB lighting, standard bottom row, you've got media keys, pretty decent build quality, an aluminum top plate on it, and not a bad price

 So we'll see how this one works out. And here it is, not bad looking, it's not bad, it's got kind of a pretty decent look to it, not too gamery or anything like that. Aluminum top plate, pretty cool, alright we're going to plug this thing in. And have a look see at the switches and the keycaps and stuff, and then we'll do a little bit of a typing test, so yeah

 And as far as the keys themselves, your F1 through F4 keys are for lighting, the F1 key will allow you to change the colors, and then the F2 to F4 are kind of like allowing you to kind of set custom colors by the way, so you can do a little bit of blue, a little bit of red, and that'll make purple or something like that without the need for any software. The F5 through F8 keys are for lighting, the F5 is going to change the lighting modes, which I will show you guys a little bit of those later, and then the F6 and F7 are for foreground and background mode changes. So I think the way it kind of works is if you do F7 and then you change one of the lighting modes, it'll only change on the key press and not just the standard where nothing is being pressed, if that makes sense. So I think the background is when the key is pressed and the foreground is just when no keys are being touched

 You can make all of the changes on the keyboard itself. All right, so this is the part of the video where probably most of you will skip ahead to. So let's just go ahead and knock out a typing test with this real quick. Okay, so, yeah, these definitely feel a lot different than tactile switches
