 And, you know, in real life, you know, there's no way I would actually get to buy this many turntables, so it's kind of fun to pretend and just open them together and check them out. Now, here we go, this piece of cardboard. Somebody told me, I was like, why do they put this, like, loose piece of cardboard? I had recently purchased this turn table for around 200USD and its... decent.  I have noticed that the machine is rotating at a rate slower than the 33.33333, and I was thinking last night, there's got to be one where I have more control as an operator.  

I've come to this sub to ask if there was a machine that I could buy that has full variable speed control and not the two selectable speed BS, what is a great quality of speakers for listening to music on, and what is an ideal way to clean the record player and how often should it be cleaned?

Hello people of r/turntables, I have come here seeking knowledge.

So as far as sound quality and skipping go this player is quite good, unlike those earlier 5 in one combos that looked nice but skipped more than a kid jumping rope, however, the actual base appears to be particle board with a poorly put on wood venire, which is peeling on one area already, if you can get it on sale or a knocked down price then go for it, otherwise I would recommend seeing if your record store as any of the older used models that were of better quality before you buy this.

A decent sound but deinatley could be improved.

Out of the blue yesterday and into today the sound has been super pitched down and slow even with the knob on 33rpm. The records I have are NOT 45's. I did a test on an empty platter using a very light object and 3 times in a row the platter was only moving 30 rotations per minute instead of 33... what could be happening here? Is a belt I received with the turntable 1.5 months ago already loose?

Any help I can get here would just be sooo beyond appreciated.. Thanks!

Newer Crosley C-62 - Randomly Running Slow

I've wanted to get into vinyl for a  while. I've been doing a little research the last couple days looking for a good beginner turntable. My budget for the turntable itself would be around $250 - $350. I kept seeing names like U-Turn, Fluance, and Audio Technica pop up in this price range. I've watched a few reviews on the U-Turn Orbit plus as well as a couple for some in the Fluance RT line, and I've also seen the Audio Technica LP120.

For now I kind of just want to get started and as I see it I could upgrade later if I really get into it. I'd also like to have the option to listen with headphones if possible. Since I don't actually have any vinyl yet I'd like to still have some money left after I buy a few of the records I want. Since I'm not looking to spend a ton, I was thinking about getting a table, maybe with a built in preamp, (preferably one that I could bypass later if I want a better one) and then a pair of active speakers. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that should be everything I'd need to get started correct? If so can anyone recommend any good speakers?

Looking for a beginner turntable

I was enjoying this turntable when I bought it last year during the start of the pandemic. This month the sound quality went down and my speakers have a short in them. I’m no longer happy with this purchase, did not last me a year.

0-1.5g tracking weight. I also prefer a turntable that automatically lifts at the end of the album, I have an older Technics that is semi automatic.

The Crosley is  not the gentlest turntable on the market. Invest in one that has a low tracking force (that's the weight of the needle on the album). The Crosley C62 has a recommended weight of 3.5g, better turntables and cartridges will have 1

Hello! Excuse my lack of knowledge as I am completely new to the scene. My mother bought me a Crosley C62 a year ago for Christmas and I've built up a decent sized collection of Vinyl. I now have disposal income and would like to upgrade to a decent audio experience for my vinyl collection to appreciate the music how it was truly made (and TV audio setup if that is in any way possible). I am fully aware that the speakers that come with the C62 are complete garbage so I was curious mostly if the turntable is alright enough to keep and if so how to go about upgrading around it! 

Again I apologize for my newness but I truly just would love to find a mentor and learn, thank you so much to whoever finds their way across this post! :)

Far from good.
