Got my precision 7760 preinstalled with Ubuntu today!

edit: My laptop gets warm even while using it for browsing and battery backup lasts only for 2 hours maximum in ultra power saving mode, even if you are using it only for watching movies or browsing. Mine was advertised to give 4 hour backup, as a new laptop mine gave over 2.5 hours of battery backup at power saving mode. but after 4 years, getting 1 hour backup in power saver itself is a nightmare

Go for it only if you are looking for media consumption and want premium feel. not for gaming and performance oriented tasks.

I am using dell inspiron 7000 series 7560 (i7-7500u and 940mx), pre-predecessor to the above model, which is 4.5 years old, as for media consumption and very light work flow, such as MS office works, it is good. and playing GTA V in 720p low gives decent 50-60fps, but thermal management is not suited for long gaming session.

Does anyone knows anything about this model?

I want to know which series of dell (except the rugged series) has the longest lifespan and the also the series with least overheating as that could reduce the lifespan. Tell me the exact model like latitude 3420,etc. Also i will be using this lappy for graphic designing daily so any chances of lasting 7+ years? The specs are i5 and any ssd ddr4 ram. I am talking about the newer dells
