I can get a laptop reimbursed by my company but don't want it to say gaming laptop

 Love the keyboard. I'm a mechanical-keyboard type of person, and while I typically hate low-profiles, I liked the keyboard on this laptop enough that it was the decision-making factor when it came down to a few options. Handles smaller games great, professional looking and would recommend to anyone using it for non-webcam related purposes.  Update: Some serious graphical glitches came with this laptop

Laptop seems to be working "ok" as of now besides the WiFi issues everyone has been having and apps like Netflix and Hulu not properly working. Another thing that is concerning is the packaging. I'm pretty sure I was sent a used product considering it came in a cheap cardboard box and not in it's original XPS box/packaging. Also the laptop itself was not even wrapped in any kind of plastic or padding or anything and I am at a military base in Iraq

After some more consideration, the M1 MacBook Air sounds like it might actually be a better option than a gaming-specific laptop. Parents are replacing my Macbook Pro (2014) but I'd prefer to not get another Apple product ($1300 USD, United States)

 One thing I loathe is that I needed to buy a dongle so I could hook up my monitor, my keyboard, and my mouse. Didn’t have to on the other one. The fingerprint reader is finicky, which is annoying because I keep logging in and getting that error message, but my biggest issue is the keyboard. Idk what they did with it, but it’s not chiclet style like the older model it’s almost too flat for my preference it feels like I’m going to break the keys

Personally, I do not fall into that category, and don't enjoy Thinkpad or Spectre keyboards as I find them fatiguing. I personally like a middle ground between them and superflat keyboards like Apple's doomed Butterfly keyboards, but retaining large keys with less gaps, and low backlight bleed- so for me my favourite keyboards are Apple's current Magic Keyboard and the Dell XPS 13 keyboard I am typing to you now on. Surface Laptops are also a good contender. Just as a side-note, outside of keyboards alone, the best overall laptop for this price point is the M1 Macbook Air

 When I ran a trial on the Windows Better Performance profile with Battery Extender off, I could expect closer to six hours. I didn’t notice a performance difference between those two scenarios when I was just doing office work and streaming, so I recommend that you do the battery-saving stuff if you want all-day juice.

It’s also one of the first systems to be verified through Intel’s new Evo program. By giving a laptop an Evo badge, Intel claims to be certifying that it offers a number of benchmarks for “premium” thin-and-light laptops — Tiger Lake processors, Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 6, all-day battery life, fast charging, quick boot time, and, perhaps most importantly, solid real-world performance. The line of what i would consider a good laptop for a primary device anyway, let me wrap by saying this. The question: will i keep this laptop? The answer is yes, and if i'm going to keep this laptop for me, which i'm excited about, i certainly can recommend it for you.

After seeing many negative experiences with Dell products, especially XPS laptops, I wanted to share mine. Also shout out to u/figtop1814 because his post encouraged me to do the same. 

I bought this laptop (XPS 13 9310) a little bit more than two weeks ago on the Dell Outlet website. This was a new product, and the price was very great! Great specs (i7-1185, 16 RAM, 1TB SSD) for only abt 1300 after tax (US). I had a Thinkpad Nano, but had to return it because my model had a speaker issue. So far, the laptop works great, and damn it's pretty. I don't have any coil whine or battery issues or dead pixels or wtv and I really love this machine. I guess the only thing I could nitpick on is that the trackpad feels a little bit firm, but that's it. 

So yeah, if you're reading this and you're on the verge of buying an XPS, just do it. There are lemons out there, but it's a small minority of products. And besides, you can always just ask for a replacement or a return. You only have to send in your original model after the replacement arrives, that's what I've been told

 I had a Thinkpad Nano, but had to return it because my model had a speaker issue. So far, the laptop works great, and damn it's pretty. I don't have any coil whine or battery issues or dead pixels or wtv and I really love this machine. I guess the only thing I could nitpick on is that the trackpad feels a little bit firm, but that's it

Dell XPS 13 is a great device for people looking for a powerful laptop with a good battery life.

So maybe Dell will offer or launch those models later on, but for now, if you're shopping for an ultrabook, this should be on the top of your list or, if you're, someone coming from a basic 400 to 500 or laptop and if you're looking to upgrade to Something like the new XPS 13 you're in for a treat. The only thing really, the only thing that you need to watch out for is lack of i/o, because you're only getting two type-c ports and, if you're willing to bypass that. I mean it's not as good as amd's ryzen based solutions, but at the end of the day, if i take a step back and admire the rest of the hardware, things like this beautiful unibody construction, a fantastic keyboard and trackpad a display that just puts a smile On my face, all those factors just make me want to continue using this thing every day. Obviously i know what some of you guys might be thinking, apple's m1 macbook pros or microsoft. Surface laptops are great alternatives as well, which i don't deny in fact i hope to get my hands on those devices at some point, but for now i think it's time to ditch my razer book 13 for this laptop, because it's compact, it fits my messenger bag.

The laptop has a good design and it is also very lightweight.
