 Let's get into the comparison now by just quickly going over the general policy information for DreamCloud. This is stuff like shipping returns, trial periods, and warranties. DreamCloud did send us all their beds for free, so we can test them out and then tell you about them. But if you decide to go in for yourself, you're going to start off with free bed-in-a-box shipping

 Plus, DreamCloud gives you an entire year to try out these beds at home to decide if you really like it. So even 10 months in, if for whatever reason you don't like the mattress, you can get a full refund. But if you decide to keep the beds, both beds are backed by lifetime warranties. DreamCloud as a brand definitely goes a bit above and beyond the usual online mattress policies

 Let's get into the beds themselves now, starting with the things they have in common. And the first thing I want to talk about is they're both hybrid coil mattresses. This means that they will be suitable for all body types, including heavier folks. We pretty much always recommend that if you are in the 250 pound range, you get a coil mattress because the added support and durability over the long term

 I don’t like the memory foam that makes it so you sink completely into it, but still a mattress should be soft. This mattress is WAY too firm!! It is like solid, no softness here. It’s not so bad that I will return it, but I regret my choice. I want a softer mattress I don’t want to sleep on a rock!!

 My problem is mostly that for this price it was totally NOT worth it and I recommend you not buy it. I like a firm but still soft mattress.  If you want something softer, plusher, a good match for side sleepers, back sleepers, something nice and luxury, a great option for you. If you want something more affordable, something on the firmer end, I'd probably look elsewhere. The second question is, can you flip the DreamCloud Premier mattress? The answer is no, you cannot flip this mattress. It's only designed to lie with a support layer on the bottom, comfort layer on top, and on the very top, the cover

 Below that, a layer of soft memory foam as well to create some nice pressure relief in the top of the mattress. Below that, a layer of individually wrapped coils, very tall, very supportive as well. All that rests on a layer of base foam. What does all this mean? First off, speaking of cooling, you have a lot of room for airflow with the coils here, also breathable cover, shouldn't be a bad match for hot sleepers

 Some plusher layers on top, good with pressure relief for my shoulders and my hips. However, moving to my stomach, it is a medium-firm mattress, not quite firm enough for me as a stomach sleeper. I'm bowing into the hips and I'm getting out of alignment. Here at Mattress Clarity, I like to mix subjective opinion with objective tests

Disappointed

 If you decide to keep the mattress though, which most people wind up doing, you're looking at a lifetime warranty with DreamCloud. So DreamCloud definitely goes above and beyond the usual online mattress policies. So those are obviously really generous, but that's probably not the reason you're going to buy a new mattress. So you're going to want to know about more important things and we're going to start with what this mattress is actually made of and what it's going to feel like for you to sleep on

 Having coils means that this is going to be a more supportive mattress long term. If you're heavier, somewhere around 250 pounds or more, we pretty much always recommend you get a hybrid bed like the DreamCloud. Plus having coils means you get a little extra bounce and airflow in your mattress, which some people like myself really like. If you are heavier, you'll probably be fine on an all foam bed for a while, like three to five years, but you obviously want your mattress to last a long time

 Hybrid beds use coils and other stuff, often foams and all foam beds use foam for support. So keep that in mind in your online mattress search. Having coils means that this is going to be a more supportive mattress long term. If you're heavier, somewhere around 250 pounds or more, we pretty much always recommend you get a hybrid bed like the DreamCloud
