I would recommend something in the mechanical keyboard realm, such as the DROP ENTR or similar keyboard. Lots of good stuff out there that can / will fit your needs that isn’t a huge name brand.

Even better, its sub-$100 price means that you won't spend an extraordinary amount of money for an excellent typing experience

Keyboard for everything

If you want a tactile switch they also offer their own switches for that. The Drop ENTR retails for about $90 and I would consider it a great choice. If you are looking for something cheaper, just let me know and I can help you out.
