The final con was that I felt it was a little bit worse with hair tangles than some of the other Dysons I've tested.

It takes less than 10 minutes to do my kitchen, the dog's pen, my bathroom and laundry. I usually have to empty or refill the water containers once, then I disassemble at the end, wash the microfibre roller with bar soap, and put it in a sunny spot to dry. The underfoot feel of the clean floor is amazing (a bit addictive!). I thought it would make less work of mopping--it hasn't, really, but instead my floors are much cleaner than they were and I am happier.

LOVED it immediately. Seriously great vacuum for our little house.

You should get a vacuum with bags. If you get bagless you will re-release dust and other yucky things back into the air when you empty it. Not to mention keeping it clean… I recently got a Miele classic c1 and there was an immediate difference from using my dyson v7.

Until now, we had a cordless Dyson V7 motorhead which was adapted to the small apartment we were living in but not so much for such a larger house. The two main issues we had/have with this Dyson is: 1) very limited autonomy (which is a deal breaker in a big house), 2) the suction is not that strong honestly (we would have to go back and forth on the same spot to properly clean it) and 3) the head of the vacuum seemed pretty cheap and would sometimes scratch the hardwood floor. So we're now looking for a heavy duty vacuum cleaner, adapted to big spaces and animal hairs but easy to use/maneuver (so that everyone can use it).
